Few years back, I also got busted for having tinted windows as well, while on route to a car meet.. When he noticed my driver's license as having "Veteran" stamped on it, his exact words were, being that I'm a veteran, he'll give me a break by issuing a written warning requiring to have the window tint removed by an authorized auto service center within 30 days and also verified in writing by the technician..
I was also instructed to bring the completed form to the local police township department in person within the 30 day notification period and also required to have a police officer visually inspect my car to verify the window tint had indeed been removed..
Needless to say, PA sucks for that is just an understatement, as far as I'm concerned

Yup! That's PA law enforcement for you at your service I truly believe had it not been for the police officer acknowledging my veterans status being stamped on my driver's license, he more than likely would not had provided me with an opportunity in getting the window tint removed as an alternative to being ticketed and fined IMHO lol.
Yes the required front plate is a pain and enforced here. Son got 2 $50 tickets in a very short time on his new, back then, 2004 350z. I Know the amount has increased, and hear of those recently with nice sports and high-performance cars get tagged a lot. But mostly in the Boise Metro Area. Don't think the rest of the state enforces the 2 plate rule, but I could be wrong on that.
When I bought the car I did not want a front plate and was not going to drill the bumper. I figured I would save the hassle and spend the $90 on a good removable plate mount instead of paying the fine multiple times.
I do not hear too much about the tint enforcement, but I had mine done close to legal to keep from getting pulled over.

Sounds like Idaho is a little different... Here is what we have to go by. Must allow at least 35% of the light through on the front side and at least 20% on the rear.

When I had my 2001 Monte Carlo SS, (wow, that was a great car, but very underpowered), I had the windows tinted in that bad boy.
The back window was so dark, at night time, almost no light went through. LOL The two little back windows were black as well and then I had the the passenger and driver's door windows at the 35% legal limit. It looked so, so good. The car was a metallic silver with those blacked out windows and black leather interior.
They had no way of measuring the rear window and the two little back windows back then. Worked out awesome for me.

Here's the latest window tint laws in PA.. If I interpreted accurately, must allow more than 70% of light in front windshield, up to 70% of tint darkness allowed on front seat side windows, up to 70% tint darkness allowed on rear seat side windows, up to 70% tint darkness allowed on rear window...
Wow, I guess our tint laws are pretty loose out here. Guess I need to stay out of PA or they would probably notice.
Wish I had taken my front side windows a little darker. They are now at 35%, and 20% on the two C Pillar windows and rear. Looks great, kind of matches the Sterling Gray Metallic paint.
Here is a photo that you can see the darkness of the tint.

Compared to our laws here in PA, your laws in ID are indeed pretty loose... And yes, PA law enforcement would most definitely take notice of your Mustang's window tint lol.

Just as fuel prices are also burning up at the pump.. At nearly $6 per gallon for 93 octane, I've only taken my Mustang out twice this year so far.. Meanwhile, thanks for sharing an image of your S550 GT
