No, it's not Patrick. Only reason I know is, I got it from the Avalanche Grey thread. What a beauty though, huh??

 

Interesting... If Patrick hadn't pointed that out, I also would have thought that was Oxford White. Avalanche Grey is not the color I thought it was. Interesting color. I was thinking much darker. So, is it metallic?

Just wondering because I did not realize the GHIG was metallic until I saw one in person. Pictures really do not do that color justice. Really changes the car's appeance in bright sunlight.

 

No AG is not metallic. And yeah I realized under the foggy sky, and with a high exposure, it washes out to the point that it looks like regular white. I looked at the pics again and can see that faint warmish hue now. It's not quite primer gray, not quite battleship gray. Very interesting color, and it would be my choice for a 350!

 

From photos I've seen since it's introduction, AG reminds me of Dove Gray which was available on many Ford/Merc/Linc products in the late 70's.

I prefer OW w/Blue stripes, but really wish that Ford offered Wimbledon White...that's the iconic GT350 color.

 

I'll try to find a better picture of the Avalanche Grey in light and in some darkness. Looks like 2 different colors. Someone took delivery of one and did those photos to shoot the color contrast.

 

It's not really metallic Steve. It's more of a matte or just plain flat color. Paired with the right stripes, it really pops.
And yes, GHIG looks so much nicer in the sunlight with the gold metallic flakes shining through.

 

GHIG is one of those rare colors that works with most types of wheel finish...chrome, black, anthracite, matte silver. But GHIG needs some type of black stripe like on the Roush or Boss IMHO.

And the worst part is unless you're willing to pay ADM, it's going to be very hard to get one, or at least one the way you want. Hmm, seems like we've done his before right??

Very true unfortunatly. I did see a few members on Boss Mstangs Online seeing that they got theirs at MSRP. I guess the deals are out there but they seem to be few and far between.

This is by far my favorite color combo though. If I didn't just dump a metric butt ton of money into the Boss I would love to try and find one of these.

 

That is nice! I'm just done with metallic paint cars, after having two accidents with two cars this year.

I'd be happy with a no option, no stripes GT350. Not too worried about the mag ride, as I'd just swap out my Air Lift shocks and struts for the S550 versions and throw that in

 

Thanks for the update guys. Some pics of AG look very interesting, but some just look like a dirty dingy white. Guess I need to see it in person to appreciate. Right now I would prefer the white instead. But I guess that will not be a problem, since I am very unlikely to be getting a GT350 anytime soon.
