Reverse and tag lights not working
Reverse and tag lights not working
The reverse light and tag lights aren't working on my 2016. I'm having trouble figuring it out. I can't locate a fuse in any diagram that would go to that. I bought new tag lights and still don't work. Any suggestions would be awesome
sorry I don't know the specifics on your car; but since those lights go on and off independent of each other, they have to be on separate switches, but they could be on the same fuse, so the fuse remains the most likely cause . . . in my car there are two fuse boxes, one under the dash and one under the hood; I guess yours is probably similar and I think you need to keep looking until you find the fuse . . . once the fuse is eliminated as the cause (known good) then move on to more difficult things, like following the wires
The tags and the reverse are on the bumper itself, correct? As such, there's wiring to them, it's a common harness, and that wiring has a connector on it. That connector has gone bad/disconnected, is my guess.

Step 9. There's the connector. May be able to see it if you're under the car. Hope that helps!

The license plate lamps, rear side marker lamps and reverse lamps all use the same G400 ground location at left rear center of luggage compartment. These light ground wires are spliced together at S419 then grounded at location G400. All these lights are fed from body control module BCM @ right kick panel. The BCM is powered for the reverse lights by Fuse #6-50amp in the BJB battery junction box {right side of engine compartment}.
You may also want to check Fuse#36-15amp and Fuse#28-20amp in the BCM right kick panel.
This info is for my 17 model year but may be the same. Check your owners manual fuse locations.

. I rigged my tag light got ground and power from one of my tail lights bridget them so when i turn on my car the lights come one as they should. There isnt a video nor in the manual shows the fuse. Or if you like you can add a switch. Run some wire to the tag lights from the batery and the ground you can get from any bolt add the negative to the switch and you should be good. Hope it helps
