They all do that. At least my 2016 does it straight from the factory

Turn signals are sequential to begin with. Any other sequential lights (Braking, Emergency) would require an addon like this one. https://www.americanmuscle.com/raxio...ness-1014.html

Must be some kind of difference between US and export models, eh? The plug-in modules worked good on earlier Mustangs. Could be they'd work on yours.

I just bought a set from CJ Pony Parts but they may not work on your vehicle. I see your location as Cape Town which I suspect means your in South Africa. Unfortunately, All the tail light kits I can find are for US spec vehicles ONLY. The set I bought was $80 (USD) so you mcan purchase a set and see if they work but I can't guarantee that they will work on your vehicle. Here is the link if you want to give them a try: https://www.cjponyparts.com/diode-dy...-2019/p/STL15/

You are in South Africa, yes? As such, I believe you are required to have the amber turn signals. Therefore your Mustang has the factory 'european spec' tail lamp assemblies, which are clear instead of red tinted, and have an amber light in them to indicate a turn, no sequencers.

This video shows someone doing the reverse of what you are asking about: Exchanging his red assemblies with the sequentials to the clear and amber:

And in there you'll see it's a bit messed up, in that the inner two red brake lights come on, then the amber end turn signal lights come on, in sequence of sorts, but basically instead of a smooth 1-2-3, you get a 12--3 sort of sequence.

I'm not sure your car would do the sequencing at all, but if those people can do what they did, you can probably get a sequencer kit for a 05-09 and figure it out...?

...I'd just leave it. Besides, it'll give the police an excuse to pull you over.

But still, you asked and so here a the link to *a* kit that you can splice with. I don't know if you can get it from there, but it's a start. Again, it's iffy if at all you can do this. You'll likely be pioneering a solution. And/or you may need to get US Spec tail lamp assemblies in the first place to do it at all...

Hope that helps!

Bingo, that's what I was thinking. It may be best that you check with your local Law Enforcement to make sure you are not violating any motor vehicle, or safety laws.
