Grinding brake pads\rotors - 2019 GT

I'm currently in the process of 'breaking in' my new 2019 GT with just 850 miles on the clock. Recently I've noticed there's a slight grinding coming from the front brakes (front right particularly) when under moderate to heavy breaking - the kind when the lights change just as you approach and you need to stop. The grinding occurs just as the car is slowing to a complete stop. It doesn't occur under normal braking around suburban streets.

Not sure if this is just a case of the brakes 'bedding in' or if there's a problem developing. Anyone else had any experience with this?

Have you done an actual "bedding-in"? I'd have to guess any minor anomalies in brake manufacture/tolerances would be eliminated by such a procedure. Of course, if it gets worse, you might need to apply some corrective action. Brakes on these cars are really subject to some violence, and are entitled to complain a bit.

yeah, I think an actual bedding procedure might be a good idea . . . scraping sound is not "normal" so I hope it will go away with more use, if not I'd take it back to the dealer

Google should be able to find the bedding procedures for you

Still there slightly but only under heavy braking and only for the last few rotations before it stops.
