Cooled seats, not backrest?

Cooled seats, not backrest?
I noticed the only part of my cooled seats seems to be the seat cushion. The backrest doesnt cool at all on either seat. Is this by design or is there something wrong?

I just figured that out too. Sucks because my back is usually hot from the Texas heat. But oh well, they have to cut corners somewhere lol. I still have no qualms with my car

There's a long running thread on another forum. It is possible that there is a design problem with the current system configuration. I personally plan to take the car in and report the symptoms. It's been said this is being reviewed by Ford currently. It would probably help to make a service appointment and get it documented.
