A10 shudders, and bumps
The bride has finally hit the 5K mark on her '18 GT A10 (I know, she should drive it more
). I've noticed that the tranny has some shakes, shudders, and not so smooth shifts. And, at times will bump when shifting into 1st coming to a stop. Have any had these little annoyances, and do you think just a reflash/relearn would take care of this. I'm fairly sure this could come from her style of driving, and maybe I should drive it more during the relearn if that's what it needs. TIA

Yes I had the same issue with my 2018 GT A10. I got it fixed at the dealer with an updated software reflash and special test drive training session. All is good after 4 months. The lunging cold starts and hard downshifts coasting to a stop are gone. It is like a new car and I am pleased that no wrenches were needed! I am at 7K so far. I performed the 30 minute test drive training session using the dealer supplied directions which completed the updates. Highly recommended.

Thank you @roger blose . I'm also glad to hear no wrenches were involved. I'll get her car to our dealer ASAP.

The training session is specific with repeated mild acceleration followed by stopping, shifting into neutral, then reverse and back to acceleration over and over again for about 30 minutes if I remember correctly. I took over the task rather than letting the Ford tech take my car out and ...well you know how it could have gone !
