2015 Mustang GT Tuner Choices

Sorry if this subject has been addressed before. I did a search with no luck.

After discovering that there is no firm date for release of a Ford Performance Tune for the 2015/6 Mustang GT with Automatic Transmission, I have decided to pursue some other after-market tuners.

Does anyone have a recommendation on a particular brand tuner (or tuner/CAI kit)? Is anyone better than the other? Is anyone more reliable?

Thanks.

I will let others weigh in but Steeda will provide you with a safe, reliable & powerful tune ... we have some of the best tuners in the industry, including James & Matt.

James G.
Lead Tuner and Calibrator

James has over 15 years of experience professionally tuning Fords - mainly the Mustang, Focus, Fusion and F-series. He was previously employed by SCT and trained many of their top tuners! James takes pride in providing quality, conservative tunes that you will feel confident in loading onto your daily driver. Reliability while providing tremendous gains are at the core of our tuning values.
The combination of our tune & CAI have yielded great results & very good testimonials which can be read here:

You can email me at tim@steeda.com if I can help with pricing or answer additional questions ... you will be very happy with Steeda's tune ... many happy customers!

2015 MUSTANG GT
I installed the tune and put a few driving cycles on it yesterday and am quite pleased. The car seems more eager to rev. It shifts a bit smoother since I am now shifting at a slightly higher RPM as a result. This is a happy by-product I did not see coming.

It does indeed feel more powerful in the low to mid-rpm ranges. It is a nice upgrade. I am most impressed with the tunes ability to retain stock driveability. There is no surging, no lurches from hanging RPMs, and power delivery feels more linear. I was worried about this due to past tuning experiences, but my worries were unfounded.I am not really interested in peak numbers, just how fun the car is to drive, so there probably won't be any dyno testing.

You can check out more reviews at the link above & as Glenn said ... get it!

I would like to know too since I'm really on the fence between Lund and Steeda. I've read more people saying great things about Lund but if there was some kind of discount I would probably steer towards steeda

I am debating on a tune and whom to go with as well. Is a tune worth the cost? I see AM charges about $400, which seems cheap and many seem to lime their tunes.

I was getting tunes from AM. Every time I got a new tune from them I told them I needed to pass emissions. I never was able too pass. After many years they finally told me my rear 02 were off and of course you can't pass emissions with the rear o2 off.

What do you typically notice from a tune? Im talking both numbers wise and driving feel. I only run 93 octane in my GT.

Depending on whether or not you have a manual or automatic, I have provided info for both:

Our tunes will increase the throttle response of the car for quicker take-offs
We alter the transmission shift points at part and WOT
We alter the firmness of the shift at part and WOT
Our shift firmness is different for different throttle settings.

My 2015 GT is the 4th vehicle I have enrolled in Tunes for Life with Steeda. They continue to impress so I continue to come back.

I have this paired with the Steeda CAI on my GT and the difference is unreal! I did not expect the 93 octane tune would do so much, as the car's driving manners at part throttle and cruising are so smooth and factory like. At WOT, though, hold-on-for-your-life. The difference in power throughout the curve, throttle response and the speed with which the car climbs through the tach will have you giggling like a school child each time.

My tune was delivered in 1 business day - talk about prompt service. Thanks again Steeda!

- Ryan
When we first dyno-tested our 2015 Mustang GT Performance Pack, it made 391.93 hp and 356.28 ft/lb/tq at the wheels. On that same stock car (93 octane), with solely a tune, we were able to squeeze out 409.99 hp and 366.74 ft/lb/tq at the wheels - an increase of 18 hp and 10 ft/lb/tq!

Dyno sheet:
