My car has 1300 miles on it now and ever since I got it on occasions my brakes squeak or squeal. Like coming to a slow stop or pulling into a parking place and stopping as an example. It's the noise you get when your original brakes need replacing. Not loud and not often but to me for new 2015 it should not be. Guy heard it ask when year it was and I answered 2015 one mo. Old. He said sad expensive new car to sound cheap. What say you guys? Dealer service blew me off .... will it go away or get worse?

 

I recommend you bring it in to a different Ford Dealer for a second opinion, kponypower. Also, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can get the customer service manager for your area involved.

There is a TSB for PP Mustangs (GT and EB) - TSB 15-0030 for this exact problem.

 

What is PP mustangs?? And TSB??

 

PP is Performance Package and a TSB is a Technical Service Bulletin.

 

The TSB is for the GT Premium 5.0 OR the Ecoboost with PP.

If you have just the GT Premium, this TSB is for you, but if you have the PP on the GT, it comes with Brembo brakes that are not part of the TSB.

Depending on the build date of your car, it may not have been taken care of yet. Check your cars production date on the window sticker (Top where it says "Blend") and if it is before 2/11/2015, and you do not have the PP, have your dealer check into that.

 

I have a 2015 GT premium package. It's has over 3000km now and Iv only heard it a break squeal once or twice after either it sat for a long period of time or it was wet.

I looked at my sticker on the inside of the driver door and it says it was manufactured "09/14".

I live in Canada and I'm not sure if that TSB includes Canada...however my breaks are not squealing...should I even bother having it worked on?

 

Have you had any work done to the breaks/wheels? I had some squealing on my '12 GT after they removed the wheels replacing the rear end. My guess is they just didnt put em back on properly.
