Check engine light came on and dealership shows purge valve is stuck open....they have to order the part.....have no symptoms whatsover....does anyone have an opinion as to whether there is a problem continuing to drive it until repaired?

 

In my opinion, they wouldn't have let you leave the dealership with the car if it was a problem.

 

Update.....left the dealership and light has been reset by technician. Does the fact that the light has not come back on indicate that the valve is now not stuck open or could it still be stuck and the light just not showing since the code was reset?

 

Some faults require a minimum amount of time in fault mode to throw a code. I don't know if the BOV is one of them and just hasn't set it again or if it is truly unstuck.

 

Tech said it was code po1450

 

I don't know if it trips instantly or needs time. Seems like a stuck open BOV would just keep you from building boost like you should.
