Looking for some advice on an ecoboost
Hi guys and gals,
I'm looking to get a gen 6 Mustang, in particular an ecoboost model. Of course, I will test drive and ultimately make my own decision, but was wondering what current owners thought of their ecoboost Mustangs. Do you like them, do wish you would have purchased a different engine option, are there inherent issues, etc.? Thanks very much for any advice you may be able to offer.

I would drive the 6 Cyl and the V8 just for comparison and then the Eco Boost.
I have driven the GT3 and was impressed,, not my Shelby GT500 but for the money a great buy and the IRS really makes a difference.
In summary the new Gen Mustang is state of the art with the upgrades and you cant go wrong with any pick.

I've been looking into the 15s as well. I currently have a 13 premium V6. I'd rather have a base GT than the ecoBoost. The dealers near me have them starting at just over $30k. Most of the ecoboosts are around the same price.
If the ecoBoost was $8-10k less it would be worth it. But I'd spend the extra $1-2k any day. Plus the base mustangs are pretty loaded now. I got my 13 used so I paid less than $20k. IMO the only reason to drive a V6 or 4 is price. When they cost about the same go bigger.

Happy to hear positive things about the Eco Booth Turbo 4 cyl. Have been looking for a car for the better half and it is between the 6 cyl and the 4 cyl. Surprised the noise is subdued. But with the right exhaust I am sure it can be enhanced. Also with the turbo there are many options to increase the boost getting an EVU flash.
I will start vetting it out today.

I love my eco boost. Got the premium with the PP (manual) and couldn't be happier. Just like "speedcostmoney" the only downfall is the sound. I replaced the exhaust with the ford racing axle back kit (you can hear it in another thread) sounds better but not a V8. Gas mileage was a concern, also my Eco is pretty loaded, to get that in a GT would have been about 8-9k more. This car is plenty fast for everyday driving. And fun as hell!
Drove one with a Bama tune the other day and all I can say is WOW! Gas mileage remains great and more than enough HP/tourqe for the street

I love my Ecoboost. Plenty of power for a daily driver, and great milage. I liked the ride or the Ecoboost better than the 6 especially with a manual transmission. Also for the price of a Base GT I got the Ecoboost decked out and convertible.
