Brand new mustang check engine light

Does anybody know why my check engine light went on in my brand new mustang 2015 with 1200 miles? The code is p0300, it says there was a misfire. I don't get this. I'm really upset with the brand. This shouldn't be happening on a brand new car.

Make an appointment and get it in to your dealer asap. A car is made up of 1,000's of parts made by many supplier's. Mechanical things can and will go wrong. No worries, your Service Department will handle it.

Thank you. I will tomorrow it's just I'm really stressing out with this car and this ford dealer which I don't recommend anybody going. Ford Wayne in New Jersey. First they took a week to get the car then it came with a broken piece inside then they don't have my plates I'm driving with temporal expired plates and now this check engine light.

Wayne ford, that's funny, I went there when I was looking for my 2014. They sales guy was really pushy and gave me a terrible number in my trade in. I ended up going further south, downs ford in toms river. They gave me a great deal and were really nice.

From what I've seen on the 6g forum, the "misfire" and the CEL light are coming from a software issue that Ford is aware of and working on. There is a good chance your dealer will clear the code and send you on your way until the software update is available.

On that same note, I am experiencing the "misfire" sometimes when there is a cold morning on its first start. After that, no problem. I have not seen the CEL yet though.

Ok, OP, seriously. You've *NEVER* bought something new that happened to need warranty work or was bad right out of the box?

Really? This is your first time ever?

Wow. I'm seriously impressed. How have you managed such a feat?

/One little problem with one car out of thousands and the brand is now dirt. Got it.

I've never had a new car with cel issues. I would be pissed too.

Yeah, but the OP went way overboard in their reaction and comments. Going into a dealership and telling everyone the cars are crap and to not buy at the dealer is not going to get the issue fixed. That will only get the police called. Plus, only three posts to Mustang Source, all rants, and no follow up on what the dealer said and did. A good start for the OP.

The OP was venting their frustration about the situation.

They might have been venting but this was more of a drama queen vent. Not every car is going to be 100% perfect. So you go to the dealer and get it checked out. You don't threaten to go a dealer and tell customers that the car and dealer are crap because a check engine light came on. If the issue does not get taken care of and continues to happen, then you have a legit reason to vent.

Do the new cars tell you the code?

That's pretty cool. I've always had to have a code reader in the older cars. Or my tuner.

Don't worry Favio, I get you.... you're Portuguese. Portuguese people are naturally hot headed and go off into the deep end over virtually everything unordinary, trust me, I know!

PS - I'm Portuguese so, if anything I am equally taking poke at myself
