2007-2009 TPMS on a 2011? Wheel swap potential ...
I'm looking to fit a set of the OEM 18x8.5 Bullitt wheels from the 2007-2009
Mustang (Shelby GT, Bullitt, etc.) onto my 2011.
The wheels will bolt up ... but will the TPMS generations work? ... Can
the 2011 read the 200x sensors ... Or, would I need a tire shop to change
the sensors in the older wheels, to the newer (2011) style sensor?
Thanks!

The 2007-2009 cars used a different style of tpms sensors. They were banded to the wheel while the later 2010 and newer models used a valve stem mounted tpms sensor. Not sure if the newer style sensors will mount to the earlier wheels.

Elected to pass ... the wheels look great, and the tires have a lot of
tread depth ... but the DOT year code from the ad pictures is 06 ... or
oh-something. If so, them are some old tires. (on top of not having a
super simple/free TPMS solution, has saved me in the past).
