The shocks and struts do not control the height of the car. Only the springs control the ride height.

Shocks and struts merely dampen the oscillations of the spring.

Let me know if you would like to speak via email & we can put a package together for you & help answer any additional questions that you may have. You can reach me at tim@steeda.com.

I should have said: +.03 toe on each side, typo on my part.

To be 100% sure, I double checked with Roush tech and apologize for the error.

100% correct, except when the struts are dimensionally shorter than others. What I was getting at is the Koni Str.ts spring perch sits lower than the OEM struts, which is because the Koni is physically shorter. I'm not sure if that's a Str.ts design, or if its because they're "05-10" struts. Either way, they definitely cause an extra 1/4" drop in the front. Idk why I was thinking the shocks too, gotta quit drinking while I'm on the forums lol.

Anyways OP, I'd get adjustable struts/shocks. Then you can adjust your dampening to your liking whenever you want.

Thanks for checking on that.

Well that makes sense, I was scratching my head trying figuring out how rear shocks would cause the rear to lower. Koni adjustables sound good, if I am spending all this money on new shocks why not spend a little more and have adjustability. thanks I am also wondering how difficult is adjusting angle of attack from the lca and the pinion angle from the uca. Keep in mind I am tech savy and have worked on many cars as a hobby and for a short while as a ford tech. How difficult is this with hand tools in the garage?

I also have a question, I am slowly piecing my suspension together too. I was planning to get the GT500 strut mounts too, but I already bought the 11-14 Koni Sports(Yellows), wish I researched beforehand that they do not fit. Besides trying to send them back for refund or sell them, what are my other options for strut mounts? I was thinking CC plates, but I am not planning to do an aggressive drop on my car, I was planning to get the Eibach Pro springs, which is only about 1" drop in the front.

Stock mounts + camber bolts. I lucked out and found a barely used set of MM CC plates for $200 though.

I went with the 11'-14' Koni sports with a set of Ground Control CC plates, all from Hypermotive and couldn't be happier. Way more than I needed, but nice to know I have top notch under my car.

Also running Steeda sport springs which I'm extremely pleased with after 1300 miles of driving.

I was able to return my 11-14 Koni Yellows and I got a set of 05-10 now. Do the Koni Yellows cause an extra 1/4" drop too are is that only the STRs?

I'm doing a similar setup to the OP. My car will just be a daily driver with some spirited driving, no plans for track or dragging it now. So far I bought a set 05-10 Koni Yellows, GT500 Strut Mounts, and a BMR Panhard bar.

I am planning for the Eibach Pro Springs, 1" drop in front and 1.5" in back. Do I need adjustable LCAs or are the fixed ones enough? Do I also need relocation brackets and UCA or can I get away without the last two? Thanks.

I installed Steeda sport springs first then a month later my Koni yellows "yellows were on back order for a month" The Koni's did not lower the car any more after installed. The ride is now less pogo springy feeling, a lot more responsive and feels like a real sports car! Body roll and nose dive are drastically reduced. Drifting is now a lot easier;-) I have mine set to 1 full turn from soft. Hands down the best damper i have used!

Just in case anyone runs across this thread and still confused about the koni's being 1/4" shorter I can testify when I bought my koni str.ts (05-10) along with my springs the drop, front to back, was more dramatic than I had originally anticipated. Looked fantastic, handled fantastic, shouldn't be a reason not to get them, but I like accurate info and at the time no one was saying they were physically shorter because it is true.
