Switch from Steeda to Roush LCA?
I have had the Steeda Billet LCAs for 2 months. They were amazing till a couple of days ago. My car squeaks over large bumps and driveways. In my old age, this bugs me to no end. I don't mind road noise but squeaking is evil.
I have an appointment at GTR in a week to look at it. If it needs greasing every 2 months, I'll go nuts. I'm considering switching to whiteline or roush lcas. Any had a similar experience with steeda lcas? Any users of roush or whiteline care to share their experiences?

Could also be the sway, mine squeaks after doing my rear suspension install. I think I didn't torque the end links down with load on them, or they need regreasing. If possible see if you can grab the rear sway and move it, mine squeaks when I move it.
I've got these, no squeaks but some noise in 5th/6th gear on the highway.

The posts here have given me hope that it's just a small issue and not a poor choice of parts by me. I'll update once I have had it looked at. Thank you to all for your input and ideas. This is the reason this forum rocks!
Keep us informed ... send an email to tim@steeda.com if I can help with any additional support.

I spent 4 hours waiting while they trouble shot it. I am very seriously considering pulling out the steeda stuff and going with roush or whiteline. The creaking noise is incredibly annoying.
I'll be watching and waiting to hear the results... I'm at the point of purchase right now and weighing options. I'm sure the guys at Steeda will take care of ya Rich. Just want to see what the end result is. As a side bar I had a bagged S10 for several years. I had Energy suspension bushings in the control arms. It didn't matter what you hit it with or how much, they ALWAYS squeaked. Just part of the deal I suppose.

Thanks for the updates, I too will be following. I hear you on the squeaking and creaking, that would drive me crazy. You might want to look at Metco, I read a thread from Mustang259, he seemed pretty pleased with them.
I had everything rechecked and when I spoke to them on the phone they said it was most likely the lca.
I finally got into the shop yesterday and the regreased the lca, panhard bar and just about everything else on the rear end. They believe it may be a bad bushing in the lca. I'm bringing it back to GTR during the week for more time looking at it.

Hello,
I apologize that you are having issues with your vehicles after installing our aftermarket parts. We have sold 1000's of combination of the parts listed and we haven't had this issue come up. I am on the boards regularly and don't come across these issues to often.
Can you provide any videos or picture of the LCA or noise that you are experiencing? Most of the time with the LCA's ... its not greased properly. In your case ... if it is a bad bushing ... then we will want to take a look at it to see if that is the issue.
I spoke to Glen & our engineers and he has never heard of a noisy LCA. Glen has been with Steeda for many years and even races on the different circuits on the weekends and this is what he had to offer ... "I never have never heard of a noisy lca unless it had heim joints"
Pony - Ride ... can you pin point the sound? After installing lowering springs the factor strut mounts can cause popping sounds. Please email me directly at tim@steeda.com so that we can trouble shoot your issues.
Like I said previously ... this isn't a common problem when installing our parts.
Best Regards,
TJ

My car creeks from the right side whenever I go up an a driveway and one wheel articulates before the other. If both wheels move together, I have no noise. I had them installed at a reputable dealer.
This leads me to believe that either my part is faulty or all your parts have this issue and no one else cares but me. I don't believe telling me that your engineer says it never happens serves any purpose. I do believe that never is an awfully bold statement.
I presume this to mean you have never had manufacturing error or failure. You would be the first company I would know of to claim that.
I do not know if your post was meant as a way to save future sales or try to offer help. Maybe I'm sensitive because I have a very limited income and chose your parts and now feel foolish. Your post makes me feel even more ignorant for buying your companies parts.

I don't know what forums you read, but it's ALL OVER THE MUSTANG FORUMS. The LCA noise is a known issue and there is a TSB from Ford for the past several years. The mist recent updated one is tsb-12-8-24. Here's just a few samples of the discussions on the subject:
