roush vs. frpp suspension upgrade 2013 GT
roush vs. frpp suspension upgrade 2013 GT
hello. i found a couple posts where people were satisfied with their FRPP adjustable and non-adjustable suspension upgrade kits over stock GT factory. http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=23039
does anyone have any experience with the roush? http://www.roushperformance.com/part...2011-2014.html
this one is interesting because it says it only lowers the car 1/2" - which may be a plus for me.
i'm not looking for track-star but rather improvement over the float of the stock GT (non-track pack). daily driver etc... winter driving too. thanks.

2013kAB - we get a lot of good feedback on both kits. The FRPP kit comes with a few extra goodies over the Roush kit but also costs more. Based upon what you're looking for, as mentioned above, I think you'll be happy with either kit.
There is better out there for the cost, sway bars is the last modification to this suspension I would do for these cars. I've spoke with many race teams to include some testing of ourselves. The rear sway is plenty enough for the weekend warrior, as a matter of fact some teams don't run a rear sway depending on the track. With that being said I can pretty much assure you that your tires will give way before you go beyond the ability of the OEM sways. The base and most important part of your suspension are the dampers. Koni yellows, although a little more, is one of the best options out there in this price range but the STR.t's is also a great option.
With your goal (simply, increased handling), this kit is decent but like I mentioned before a set of Koni STR.t's Steeda or hotchkis springs, PHB and mounts will outperform this kit and... it will save you some coin.

Well i have always thought the stock stock sway bars are more than enough for me. Its the appeal of a kit from the factory
I regretted not doing konis on my last car although i had a good 8 years on the struts i did get... but nothing has changed konis are still highly regarded.
