Replaced stock brembo pads...

I had posted before about how i was unimpressed with the stopping power of the brembo brakes... Well I finally put in my Pagid pads today and holy stopping power... Brakes feel phenomenal now, so it was just the pads previously.

Excellent bite once they are warm and pedal feel is firm and has great modulation. I am very pleased now

I have been very impressed with the stock pads on my '14 GT TP. Same goes for my passengers when I take them for a "demo" drive.

I just finished my first track day. The stock Brembo pads did great. One thing I noticed was that the brakes work better after the track day. Going to work on Tuesday morning I hit the brakes for the stop sign at the end of my street where I normally do andthe car stopped way quicker. I think they need a good break inand bedding . I never experienced any brake fade on the track at Road America.

The stock pads stop fine but I was used to an aggressive brake setup previously (4-piston calipers and track ready pads). These Pagids are far more aggressive than the brembo pads and just feel excellent.

Juice - how was heel-toeing with the brembos at the track? I found under very hard street braking with the stock pads the brake pedal was a touch too far depressed for smooth heel-toeing. Needs less travel now to invoke hard braking so heel-toeing is much better

That's using the RST-2 compound up front?

Correct, RST-2 front, RS-56 rears. I think the RS56's will stay on all the time and I may pick up a less aggressive front pad for daily driving. RST-2 is definitely not a daily driving pad

Are those aftermarket pads rotor-friendly?

What exactly do you mean rotor friendly? . These pads are very abrasive when cold, but at temp they are pretty easy on rotors. More wear on rotors then OEM pads for sure

And RA is tough on brakes so that's a good testimonial!

Squeak when cold. Got some good use today and they are great. Will probably keep the rears on all the time but need something a little less aggressive up front for daily driving. Love these pads for what they are though.
