11-14 gt Brembos ?

What's the difference between the 11-14 GT Brembos and the 07-09 GT500 Brembos?

Is it just paint?

I believe the 07-09 brembos were gloss and the 10-12 were matte. I think the 13-14's were 6 piston instead of 4.

Edit: 13-14 gt500 brembos are 6 piston. The GT is 4 piston.

My '13 Brembos are 4 piston, matte gray with red lettering.

Thanks, based on everything I could find they are in fact the same other than finish.

I found and bought front and rear brakes off of an 11-14 GT with the Brembo package. They have less than 10,000 miles on them.

Yep. They're the same other than finish as far as I've always known.

Assuming the price is right, that's a nice upgrade!

Two things to consider:

1.)Unless you're tracking the car (or want the option to track the car) they really won't perform much better on an initial stop. It's only repeated stops where they make a difference.

2.) This will limit you wheel options to some extent. OEM non BBP/GT500 wheels won't clear the calipers.

The 13-14 Brembo Brakes are 4 piston and I consider them a definite must. Braking is just as important as HP/TQ. My only complaint is that I need to upgrade the brake lines to get the most out of them.

Also, they come from the factory matt black. But if you are not careful with the wheel cleaners, they will turn grey in a hurry.
