Offset fitment on lowered vehicle

Ok the title sounds a little confusing but basically I have the RTR rims with what i believe is 35 mil offset and I wanted to lower my car more but I'm worried about rubbing if I go too low with the wide offset. Anyone have any experience with this?

How low are you wanting to go? I have the RTRs with 275/40/19 all around and lowered 1.1 front &1.25 rear on BMR springs with no problems at all over bumps or anything. I had SR springs on at one point and there was also no rubbing issues and that was about a 1.5 drop all around. Mostly depends on tire size and springs you use.

I have the sr springs now but I want a much tighter gap than what I have now. I don't think I got 1.5 all around

That's where she sits now. I'd like something like these steeda extreme springs. I'm just worried if I go that low that ill rub with the wider offset of the RTRs

What size tires do you have? The SR springs don't drop as advertised or at least they didn't for me. It was more like 1.3 all around. Hopefully some others will chime in as you will be close running those springs. A good friend of mines is running the Eibach sport lines and RTRs on his 5.0 and that's pretty much the same drop as the Steeda springs. I'll have to ask him what size tires he has as I know he doesn't have rubbing issues. Also beware what you wish for, if you're 'stang is a DD those springs are gonna ride rough!

I have the performance pack tires so they're 255/40 but I'm going to switch to 275 up front and 295 rear. And yeah she's a DD but I don't mind a stiffer ride. I used to drive a Toyota mr2 spyder and that thing is basically a go cart haha so ride isn't a problem for me. I'd just like springs to drop the car like those steedas. My cars a v6 so it doesn't weigh as much either

Have you gotten with Steeda to make sure those springs will work with the v6. They just released a v6 specific version of there sport spring because the other one was dropping vehicles correctly. Other than that I think it will be close as to whether or not it will rub.

The v6 specific one only drops about 1.25. And on the bottom of the steeda website is says it fits. I'm sure the drop isn't the same for the v6 but maybe steeda could chime in?
