OEM Strut brace vs aftermarket?

I was wondering if anyone could give some feedback on strut braces for me. I am looking to pick one up for my '11 and like all suspension parts there are multiple choices. Can anyone offer insight on OEM vs aftermarket? I am looking at buying the OEM V6/Boss brace for about $80 but it is only secured with 2 bolts on each tower vs most AM that are 4 bolts.

cliffs: Is aftermarket worth the extra $100 or more for a DD, non-track car?

Thanks,
Matthew

the oem piece will give just as much support as the aftermarket pieces. To be clear the car doesn't really need it to start with so the oem strut brace will more than do the job.

Thanks. You saved me some money and I learned something new. As for if the car needs one or not...ehh...I added one (OEM) to my '95 and it really did help with the handling of the car so.

The SN95s were also a lot less stiff. I did the front and rear braces on my 2000 and they tightened that sucker up real quick. Made it a lot more neutral too! I'd still add one to an S197 though, if not just for looks. I think the engine bay looks naked without them.

Yeah my '95 was really bad. Nose dive, body roll, floated all over the road. After I added the strut brace, welded in my MM full frame connectors, H&R SS springs, and MM CC plates it felt like a completely different car.

And yes the engine bay does look naked. I really want to get the "Mayhem" engine cover but at $130 it might have to wait.
