My '14 'Vert with Steeda Sports and Koni Yellows
My '14 'Vert with Steeda Sports and Koni Yellows
Here are a couple of pics of my '14 GT Premium Convertible that I just lowered a couple of weeks ago (still under 200 miles!) with Steeda Sports, Koni Yellows, Steeda HD strut mounts and J&M PHB.
I spoke with Sam Strano prior to jumping into this upgrade and I'm VERY glad I did. The combination worked well for what I was after: handling, comfort (when needed) and a nice stance.
Now to save for the supercharger...

Car looks great ... you should be very happy.
So far it is meeting your expectations? Let us know what you think of the products
Thank your for running our Steeda products ... don't hesitate to let me or the Steeda staff know if you need anything further?
Best Regards,
TJ

TJ, yes, the Steeda products are top notch and perfect for my weekend vehicle... install was a piece of cake and the balance of handling and looks with the Sport Springs is very good. The adjustable Koni's pull it all together, too. I will probably invest in adjustable UCA and better LCAs to complete the rear end mods sometime in the near future. Now I'm just trying to decide if I need to get a tune to keep me entertained until I purchase a supercharger; I am leaning towards doing so, since the stock automatic shift points and firmness are a bit anemic.
Darren, first, thanks for the kind words regarding how my car looks. Second, love that there is another Ducati rider with a 'Stang! I have a 2012 Monster 1100 EVO in my stable.
Regarding how to adjust the struts/shocks: it couldn't be easier. There is a single adjustment **** that you can use to increase or decrease rebound dampening. The adjustment can be made without putting the car on a lift, as the adjustment point is at the top of the struts/shocks which is accesible from under the hood or the trunk. If I thought I would be spending more time at the track I may have spent the additional $ on fully adjustable coilovers, but for me the Steeda Spring/Koni Yellows are a very good compromise.

Great thank you for the info. I'll check with steeda about shipping to canada or local suppliers. I wonder how Steeda compares to Eibach. I see some guys doing front eibach and rear steeda etc. This is all new to me. I'm used to Ohlins on my bikes

Did you get the Steeda Sports for the convertible or the coupe?
Darren- I hear ya regarding the Ohllins... I ran them on my Buell X1 and Kawasaki ZRX1100.
TJ, I am pretty sure there will be additinal Steeda purchases in the near future. ;-)
Just wanted to say thank you for posting your results. I am a Steeda dealer, among other things, but I'm a huge believer in the Koni shocks (which fwiw are still on sale). While they don't make shocks for the Mustang, I'm also an Ohlins dealer too, as well as having a few other brands of shocks.
I probably move more Koni Sport/Steeda Sport combinations than anything else for the S197 because the way the car drives after is so much improved without a bone-rattling ride. That's both the dampers and the springs in combination.

Hey Sam, can you send me links to the product combo that you'd recommend for my '13 GT Premium to accommodate the following ride requirements:
-less body roll on corners
-less nose dive on breaking
-less nose rise on acceleration
-slightly lower stance
-adjustability
