Seems that's the case... I'm told they are due stateside by next week, and if that's true then I should be able to start shipping to customers between Christmas and New Year's.
Not a lot are coming, some are on backorder and already spoken for. So I'd advise you don't wait forever if you've been wanting a set.

Will there be any left after filling the back orders?
If installing Steeda HD I just need a 05-09 strut mount, right? Does anyone happen to have a part number or a link?
Thanks

There looks to be some, but not like many hundreds... If you do have a 2011+ car and you want to run Steeda HD mounts, you will still need a Ford OEM part for a 2010 or older car. I have the Ford Racing part number, I can give that to you with the order.

Koni doesn't have a 2011/2012 specific part yet, but that's irrelevant because the 2010 struts work perfectly when used in conjunction with the right mounts.

The 2011+ specific one is on the boards, but not built yet. At best it'll be about 2 months to see those (if everything goes perfectly). Cost are TBD on them, but likely about the same as the current stuff.
And Seventh is on the mark when he says it's really a non-issue. All you need is a set of older strut mounts (you can buy them new for less than $100) and the Koni's are then direct fit, and a perfect fit.

If you've been waiting, NOW IS THE TIME. Confirmed that a shipment has left Koni NA bound for my warehouse. Those with orders in already will ship first, new orders after.
Don't wait. There aren't many hundreds on this shipment, about 15-20 car sets remain this time with more arriving around the end of January (shipment is confirmed on the way).

Not that it matters, but out of curiosity, did they say anything they were doing differently in particular for the 2011 specific struts? Or is their "2011-2012 specific feature" merely to eliminate the need for the 2010 mounts?
It looks like they're just updating the fronts for 2011-2012, not the rears.

Oh wow I didn't know the ones specific for the 2011 were right around the corner.

It's really not worth waiting 2 more months unless you have some moral objection to running a 2010 style strut mount. All that's different is the top of the strut rod to work with a 2011 mount. That's it. Change the mount to a 2010 and the 2010 style struts fit like a glove.
Also it sounds like if you were already planning on installing the HD Steeda mounts for camber adjustment, getting the new strut or the old strut wouldn't matter, since you'd have to buy the mounts and struts in either case.
Actually that raises another question... why does Steeda make both the 05-10 and the 11-12 versions of the HD mounts, when the 05-10 version fits on the 11-12 just fine? The 11-12 version is also an additional $70 ($40 from you). There must be some HD mount quality difference, or no?
Thanks.

You are overthinking this Seventh. There is no trickery involved. The 2011 struts are different at the top, that requires a specific mount. The 2010 and older struts are different, and they require their own mount. When teamed with the proper mount, they both fit the chassis perfectly.
If you were to buy a Steeda HD mount, well they assume you have car like that and there is a part you need to swap from the stock 2010-earlier mount to the HD. If you don't have that part (like you have an '11+ car, you still need to a set of Ford OEM mounts to make the 2005-10 Steeda mounts work). The Steeda HD's for the '11 work only for '11 type struts of which next to none exist. Eibach makes their Pro-damper (which I also carry), and of course OEM Ford. Koni's will be coming but they are still a little while off.
