GT500 suspension parts

Hey all, I have the opportunity to get some shocks and struts from a '11 GT500 w/ performance pack for cheap but I'm not sure if they will work on my '14 v6. Anyone know if I can make these work?

They'll bolt on just fine, may not be valved well for the V6 weight.

the v6 engine is way lighter than the 5.4 s/c v8 so you would probably have a pretty stiff ride if you put those on. the rear springs should work fine though.

What do you mean by not valved well? So do you think it will not be an improvement over what I have now? I plan to use them with SR springs that will drop 1.5 all around.

I ran these exact shocks and springs on my GT. The rear was great, but the front didn't have nearly enough rebound damping. Compression was fine, but they tried to balance the ride quality and handling by going a little light on the rebound damping. If I had a blower or turbos, it would have been fine, but with my stock GT, the front felt like it popped up a little too much. I pulled them off in 4000 miles.

It looked great though.

Wow. If you're not going with the parts designed for your vehicle why are you playing in this game?

What are you talking about? I was looking to see if the parts would work since they are better than what I have at handling a car that's lowered and I could get them dirt cheap. I just wanted to know if they were like any aftermarket shock and strut system where they work on GT and V6 coupe.
