Suspension Question

I have a few guys telling me the suspension from a 2012 GT500 will bolt right up to my s197. Is this true?

And my second question is... I'm looking for a lower stance and a sportier feel without sacrificing ride quality (like everyone else). My first intention with this entire thing was to get lowering springs and call it a day, but now I understand I may have to upgrade a few other things in order to keep my car riding nicely. So my question is, if this GT500 suspension were to work, would that plus lowering springs (some have recommended steeda sport) be a good setup?

The stuff that the guy is selling is front and rear springs, shocks, struts, and a bump stops. If that helps...

I would think it would all fit. The down side is the gt500 engine is heavier than your engine so the front might ride a little higher than you would like. I went with the steeda sports and the srtt shocks and struts. I love the ride quality and the improved handling. I would do that again before I bought the gt500 stuff.

I'm with Glenn. I'm sure the GT500 parts will bolt up just fine, but the GT500 parts are made for the GT500's weight and set up. You may actually end up with a higher stance. I'm sure the price is tempting (it's somewhat cheap, if I recall correctly), but I think you'd be better off with suspension parts designed for your specific car.

Stance wont change much, we added gt500 suspension to an 07 GT and it rocks but doesnt really lower the car. Steeda Ultra lite springs give a slight drop and nice handling.
