GT500 strut mounts or CC plates

I'm ordering up some yellow koni struts and shocks, just can't decide if I should go with GT500 strut mounts or J&M caster camber plates.
I'm using steeda sport springs, on my 2014 mustang Gt track pack car
I daily drive my car with about 10-12 track days a year auto cross, and road coarse.
Any advice would be great, thanks!

I think either way you will be OK but the GT500 mounts will save you some cash.

I'd go with the CC plates. I have the HD Steeda mounts, and while I have had no issues with them, I wish I had spent the extra money on MM CC plates so I'd have the caster adjustability.

I have the ground control plates that I bought from Hypermotive. They are excellent and have caster adjustment also. I was deathly afraid of noise and thankfully, these have none.

+1, others have had some issues but they do have great customer service.

Yeah I had heard good things about those as well. Between GC, Vorshlags or the Maximums, I definitely wish is have gone with one of them.

We have these http://www.steeda.com/mustang-adjust...unts-555-8137/

Steeda's Competition Adjustable upper mounts offer up to -2.3 degrees negative camber if you are using the stock springs, and up to -3.5 degrees negative camber if using a 2 1/2" coil over spring setup. Camber range is spring dependent because of physical limitations inside the strut tower. Also features caster settings of stock or +.5 degrees. - See more at: http://www.steeda.com/mustang-adjust....VK7Zbf3j.dpuf
Let me know if I can help assist with pricing!

Best Regards,

TJ

what I think you guys need is some sort of a gauge. So when you go to the track you can set it for the track and when you go back to street driving you can put them back in the right place for the street??

I actually designed one and sent pictures of it off to someone about a yr or two ago. I forget who it was. They replied with something like bla bla bla. I've been waiting for it to show up on the market.

I have the J&M caster camber plates with steeda sports springs and the koni shocks
The ride quality at freeway speeds is great, feels very buttoned down. No floating. However, at low speeds, the cc plates have an incredible amount of noise over bumps. Allot of knock back, very noisy. Im not having buyers remorse, just be prepared for more noise. The ford racing cc plates also make noise.

I decided to go with the Gt500 mounts, with the steeda sport springs I'm not that low!
So I saved the cash for some other parts!

Let us know how it goes. I'm thinking about doing the same exact setup next year.

Cool, that should be fun.

My drop is only 1" but I may just use the GT500 rubber isolater on the J&M camber plates and call it a day.
Are you going to do an alignment after the spring install?

On another note......A '75 Bricklin? Don't see those every day....cool gull wing doors...still got the 351 in it? Got any pics?
Maybe we should do an "Other rides" thread because some people have cool cars and bikes I am sure.

I am sure you rechecked everything but are the end links tightened properly?
On my '04 I had something similar and that's what it ended up being.
I had to loosen and re-torque them to get it to go away.

This Koni sale is killing me again this year. So you are getting the pre-2011 front shocks to go with the GT500 caps?

That's what I am doing.
Ordered the 05-10 yellows for the front and a matching set for the rear but they are 05-14 of course.

I have a brand new set of Eibach dampers in the box in my garage but I think I'll be happier with the yellows.
I'll tweak them a few times to find the sweet spot for my driving style and be done.
Great price, couldn't pass it up.
