You don't have stands?

Seriously? Is it even possible to do this without jack stands? Not to mention one of the stupidest things anyone could ever try to do! Yes, I had jack stands.

I put my jack under the differential and gently put pressure on it to lift the axle a little and create a pivot point. The second jack would have lifted either side of the axle until I was able to remove the opposite spring if I had it. But since I didn't have a second jack I had to push down while my buddy pulled the spring out.

Well I got the springs for $130 shipped from Roush. That was one of the main reasons. But I do like the stance. The rear is still about 3/8" higher than the front.

The picture is kind of dark, it was early evening when I took it.

This one is a little bit better. My driveway is on an incline and in the other picture I tilted the camera to try to get a level shot.

Judging by that pic, you have a nice even gap for both wheels. Looks real good, not too low. I approve

Yeah I didn't want to get aggressively low. I also put on some 2012 GT500 Track Pack take-off shocks and struts. It's planted now, not much flex in those shocks!

Uin2it - have you done the job yet??!?

I am doing the following setup:
-Steeda Ultralites
-Koni STR.Ts
-GT500 mounts
-FRPP bump stops (any improvement with these over stock??)

I am going to install everything off the car then just pop them in.(sounds soo easy, yeah right lol)

Anyone know what tools and sizes are required?! Do the koni's come with directions or is this just a Go at it yourself type job lol

I should wrote down all the tools i used. Here is what i can remember. Closed ended ratcheting wrenches sizes 13mm, 15mm, and 18mm and matching deep sockets in half and 3/8 inch sizes. Breaker bar. Torque wrench. Red loc tite. Low profile jack, chocks for the wheels and 2 jack stands.

Don't know about the Koni's. The bump stops were the same size as my stock ones. So i haven't noticed any difference with those.

i did mine alone too ,,get your front end supported on jak stands a nice spot is where k member bolts to body (its strong there)then take your jack and get it under the a arm with jak supporting it ,then once you are ubolted ,,very very very gently lower jack very easy ,,..its not that hard of job i swear ,,just take your time and be careful and a good tip ,,wear gloves im always scratching myself and a great pair of gloves is your friend . and if you have a 11 or 12 gt toss the crappy strut mounts in garbage, svt swears the gt500 ones wont fit , they will work if you are using an 05-09 strut ,,my car only has 2000 miles i couldnt see changing struts ,,so i opted for fords replacemnt*thats right lol even ford knew they were junk ,,the orginal mounts part number ends in "A" gt500 ends in "c" the replacment ones for 11-12 cars end in d ,,ford quit making the "A" ones cause they are well junk ,they will fall apart when out and u will chase millions of tiny bearings for hours
the back part is so easy ,,i bet you could almost do it with wheels on ,,u can have back done in 30 mins ,,unbolt shock bottoms ,,unbolt sway bar from body and and unbolt the mount the holds brake line in wheel well ,,just to giv yourself a lil extra room . you will be fine

I put some gt500 track pack shocks and struts on at the same time and they are STIFF! LOL. I never tried the stockers with the springs. I did find the stock setup floaty. But not now! These shocks don't move. Even the alignment guy commented on it. Not sure what setup they would be comparable to though.

Just wanted to point out that our Pro-Action shocks for the 2011+ do not require the upper spring isolators from the GT500 mounts. They offer a great ride (we tested and changed the valving on these numerous times to get it just right), feature a lifetime warranty, and are made in the USA.
