FRPP Jounce Bumpers & Lowering Springs
FRPP Jounce Bumpers & Lowering Springs
To those of you who have installed lowering springs, have you also installed the jounce bumper kit? I'm curious as I have some suspension parts on order from Rehagen, and wonder if these are worth the $25 to put on while I do the springs.

Depends on the drop and how much travel you have/will be working with.
The lower the car, the shorter and more progressive bumpstop I'd recommend.
I have a set of eibach bumpstops on some sportlines, and I find them all the time driving around. Would be miserable on the stockers

Hi,
I have a -1.5" drop with Ford Racing springs/Koni sport set and the M-5570-A bumpstop on my 2011 GT.

Here is the result looking through the left wheel :

There is less than 0.5" of free space (one finger)
I don't understand how the suspensions can work correctly with so little space
And it could explain the sound that seems coming from the trunk each time i drive on a road with short and harsh bumps.

I have the Eibach Pro kit springs (1"?) + Koni Sports 'yellow' shocks/struts w/ the FRPP jounce bumper set (yellow colored) and have no issues.
But the FRPP version is clearly shorter/geared towards use with lowered setups and have not really found them yet in daily driving. (which I think is a good thing)

If your lowered and have stock bumpstops your hitting them. I didn't cut mine right away and you don't feel it to much hitting them. You will notice it more when you cut them. Get in your car like the op did and have someone take a look at how close you are.
