Eibach spring install, NEED HELP

Am I missing something here? How am I suppose to use a wrench to loosen the 22mm nut on the top of the strut? If I use a socket I can't put a wrench on the strut to keep it from spinning.
Every installation instructions show a different upper strut mount where the nut is out in the open on top, not sunken down there.

This is on a 2012 GT. Any help would be greatly appriciated. I'm starting to get frustrated

I hit it with some wd40, let it sit for 15 min, then used a deep socket

I used an electric impact wrench but you may be able to lock some vice grips to the top of the strut shaft just under the mount to keep it from spinning.

you don't really want to remove that nut untill your spring is compressed a bit. I used a impact gun to remove and install mine
