Question!....I need to get a 13/16 wrench on the strut nut and a 10mm socket on the end nub and crank it off. However the nut is buried in the strut mount. If I use a deep well 21 or 13/16 socket it'll just spin since I can't hold the rod in place.....

Question is once I compress the spring, will the nut become exposed so I can get it?!?

Probably not. You won't be able to compress it enough to clear that upper mount and get a straight wrench on it. You're better off getting a strap wrench and wrapping the old strut, then getting a socket and breaking that nut loose once you've compressed the spring enough to safely remove the mount.

There's no way this is happening. I can't even access the strut to get anything on it. I can get a deep well on it but that blocks the top of the strut.

Maybe my buddies electric impact gun will zap it free.

You need to pull the strut before you remove the top nut.

How are you not able to get the spring compressors on there then? I'd break the nut loose, compress the spring, then remove the nut and mount.

I can get the compressors on, just can't get access to the nut. Someone is coming by with an impact gun now tho.

I did it arrows out, decided to not be a pioneer! Lol. Well it's all done!!!!

I finished up about 5pm. Literally once I got those nuts off with a battery powered impact gun, the install was a breeze from there.

The looks awesome. Took it for a spin, no squeaks, clunks, or anything of that nature.

The ride is firmer, but I like it a lot.

No more wheel gap!!!

but you also don't know long term effects of reversing them.

Rob, do you have a part number for the bolt that holds the brake line and ABS sensor on the front struts? I found one of mine missing, so I zip-tied it in place temporarily. I need to order one ASAP to fix this problem.

The negative camber you get with arrows out is actually pretty ideal for track use. From what I've gather most end up with -1.3 to -1.7. If your car sees mainly highway than this is not good unless you do a few track days that sees the edges do some work or if you take corners pretty aggressively in the street

No, I didn't get those part numbers. I have exploded views though but the numbers on those don't correspond to the actual part numbers. On mine there was a bolt holding the brake line and a plastic tree clip holding the ABS sensor to the strut. I just zip tied the ABS sensor and the bolt fortunately was secured to a washer clip on the brake line itself and it was connected to the body of the car not the strut. I think I'm explaining that right.

the bolt that bolts the line to the little tab on the back side of the strut? My konis came unthreaded so I guess that bolt became a self threader. Held pretty good. That probably why yours fell off, didn't get a good bite. If mine falls off Ill prob replace it with a Stainless nut and bolt of the same size.

Oh and a side note, the cars rides perfect. Straight as a arrow. I will still get an alignment tho, just in case. Unless not necessary???

What is the ideal Camber that you want so your tires wear normally? Im going to get mine aligned tomorrow most likely. Anything I should tell them??? Hopefully they can do my PHB too
