Brembo Mustang Suspension

Hi everyone, I have a stock 2012 brembo car right now. I would like to get some opinions on what type of suspension set up is best for these cars. I like the lowered look of theses cars and want to do something to mine. First off I know the suspension is more aggressive than a normal mustang. Therefore is there any of the stock suspension components that is worth keeping in a new set up. i.e. springs, struts, control arms? I've looked at entire suspension kits, thought about lowering springs also the 55d rear spring kits. I don't track the car very often, just a lot of spirited driving and occasional track time. I would appreciate any opinions on what suspension set up to run on these cars?

Springs and shocks ($600), LCA relocation brackets ($200), and get a watts link to replace the panhard bar ($680).

I've done all of that, plus front LCAs ($500), bump steer kit ($200) and sway bars ($400).

You'd also be doing well to put on some wider wheels/tires. I'd also do a square setup (same size wheels /tires on all four corners) vs staggered. The handling is better, and you'll be able to rotate the tires.

I also have a Brembo package. Start changing those crap shocks and springs, and replace them with KONI shocks and STEEDA Sport Springs (you will need to replace the front shock months for the GT500 mounts or others. From here you will decide what is next like wider tires , I installed on mine, 275/40R19 from Michelin Super Sport, maybe you want wider wheels. After these some adjustable sway bars, and maybe if you have the $, move toward getting a Watts link, this will bring a very close feeling to a IRS.

I have a 12 brembo. I installed the steeda sport springs, koni sports, camber correction plates, steeda billet lcas, and relocation brackets. I really like the changes to my ride. I think the koni sports and cc plates were overkill. I run my shocks on full soft which i have been told is the same feel as the koni strt shocks. I don't think I would be less happy with the koni strt shocks and gt500 mounts. The ride is more consistent on uneven roads. The brake dive and acceleration squat is a lot less. I love the difference.

Thanks for the info... The koni Yellows and Steeda Sports with the GT500 mounts look like a pretty good option. Is anything else needed to run this set up? I have also looked in to the eibach pro kits for about the same money. The only difference between the two is that the eibach kits come with sway bars. Is it worth getting a eibach pro kit for $900 or just stick with the koni yellow and steeda sport set up for around $1000?

kona, some decent advice given already by Mr. V. There is no one stop kit to order for your car. With your plans there are a few things I have in mind, do you ever plan on tracking your car (i.e. road course, auto cross, drag strip)?

I will first tell you that a lot of the parts that come on a Brembo package really isn't much of an upgrade over the base model GT's. Higher spring rates and GT500 LCA's which is about it. I've taken apart a few track pack cars and the part numbers on the struts and shocks were the same as base one's.

If you plan to get Koni's I suggest purchasing before the end of the month, the current Koni sale is ending soon.

There are a few sets of lowering springs that would be a good choice for your plans. Eibach Pro kits, Sportlines and Hotchkis springs are all great choices, sportlines are a bit aggressive so extra supporting suspension components are most likely needed. (CC plates)
