AMR wheel weight and tire suggestions for a noob

Does anyone know the weight of american muscle's AMR wheels? I'm looking to replace my stock 17x8 base wheels with a set of 18x9 AMRs and I'm curious about what the weight difference is. Is there a wheel that anyone else would recommend in that style that is a similar price range?

Also, I am looking for suggestions on tires. The 18x9 wheel recommends a 255/45r18. I live in the south, so a summer tire is fine. Budget is around 150-200 per tire. From glancing around, it looks like the tires in that range are the michelin a/s3, goodyear eagle f1 supercar & asymmetric 2, various potenza's, pirelli p zero nero gt, nitto nt555 and invo. However, I don't really know a whole lot about tires.

I've had the michelin pss and as3 both recommended but I don't see the pss in my size (and it might be out of my price range). I've heard the nt555's vary a lot in tread life. I'd like to get at least 30k miles out of the tires.

any help or recommendations would be appreciated it.

Seems as though I saw someone recently go with cooper tires. Pep Boys has a buy 3 tires get the 4th free and a $60 mailin rebate. I believe the tires are well within your budget. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...55&ar=45&rd=18

you might be able to add one of the wheels to your cart and then see what shipping weight is.

I feel like I've seen on of the AM reps post a list on here somewhere before of wheel weights of all the wheels they carry. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll try and search for it.

Don't get stuck looking at just AM wheels. I mean there's tons of different wheels/ wheel vendors out there.

spqr-Good question and if you're to look under the specs tab we'll have the weights listed (The 18x9 weighs in at 24.7lbs) As per tires I've run the 555's on my 01 and 08 and they're an all around great performer. Shoot me a PM and I'll get you set up with our discount code as I can see you're beyond eligible for it!

That's not the one I was talking about, I got tired of looking for the one I was talking about. That was not a dig on AM in any way before in my last post.
