2014 TPMS

On my 11 i had,it had 19 inch wheels and used bands on wheel for tpms sensors.SO when i went to 20's on that,i had to buy new sensors.
On my current 14 it came with 18's.Looking to get some MRR GT1 silver/polish wheels 20x8.5 and 20x10.
Can anyone tell me if the stock 18's use bands for tpms or do they come with valve stem sensors now?Hoping i won't have to shell out an extra $300 for new stems and can just swap over the ones on the stock 18 inch wheels.

It should have the "valve stem" TPMS. You probably will need new valve stems when they switch the sensors over to the new wheels, but they are very low cost. You do want to make sure the new wheels are compatible with valve stem TPMS.

Yeah, Mustangs have had valve stem mounted TPMS since the 2010 MY.

Be careful of the fleabay TPMS. When were they "taken off"? They have batteries that do wear out.

Also, some of the "new" TPMS up there are Chinese knock offs. I'm not saying they're no good, but you take your chances.

Personally I'm going with AM's deal for my winter wheels. $194 for a set with the reset transmitter. They might be Chinese too for all I know, but at least AM should stand behind them.

Ford has done away with using strap in sensors. Everything they use now has a rubber valve stem.

if you just buy new TPMS you'll not need anything else. no need to reprogram either. As long as they are genuine Ford sensors.

So, when I swap my current stock wheel/TPMS for the winter setup of new tires on the Roush take off wheel/TPMS, the car will adjust on its own?
