19" drag radials.

Looking at new rear tires for my gt. Steeda tuned and ever since been needing more traction. Stock brembo suspension and wheels. What are some practical options?

From what I've read, no one makes a drag radial from the brembo rims. The closest you will find are Toyo R888, but that's a road race tire.

Mickey Thompson and Nitto make 19" Drag Radials, but they're too wide for the stock brembo rims. I think they require a 10" wide rim if I remember correctly.

If you're planning on high friction launches, like what drag radials are made for, consider a rear end brace or welding your axle tubes. These 8.8" rears like to twist the tubes which tends to push the driver side tire forward into the wheel-well.

Even on the Track Pack Rears? I have read that they are different and are made stronger?

They are different in that they contain different guts because of the Torsen in there and the exterior paint. Other than that they are the same housing.

The only thing the "Track Pack" rear has is a Torsen differential, which is designed for cornering. Axles and axle housing are the same.

The stock differential is better than the Torsen diff. for drag racing.

That tire will fit just fine. Only thing is you're loosing quite a bit of tire diameter. But if you don't care about speedometer being off, or loosing a few MPH in each gear it would work on a track.

hmmm I've got 3.31's so it probably wouldn't affect me all that much. Super expensive tho.
