2013 DEEP IMPACT BLUE GT, Track named "The Mistress"
It really depends on where you are in Germany. I always have people coming up and talking to me about my car. Especially at track events and during car show season here it's crazy. I had a bunch of car models hangin around last year. We made a calendar for our car club and they sold like brautwurst....by the dozen.
So I've been having some issues with my car lately. Hopefully I will be able to get her up on the lift this weekend. Maybe tomorrow. Here's what's going on lately.
1. Loud creak coming from the passengers side front suspension. Left turn only.
2. When the anti-locks kick in it's a pretty violent affair.
3. Still have the driver's rear squeak.
4. Popping of some sort when I go over bumps and I'm turning (into a driveway) coming from the front suspension. Still haven't gotten the LCA TSB done because Germany. ??? Sway bar bushings?
I'm going to attempt to get some video to post of all of it.

So I haven't gotten to the videos lately. I really need to. Hopefully the parts come into the dealership here and I can get my car in. It sounds worse lately for some reason. Maybe I notice it more. I'm also still debating on selling my car. A German friend of mine is looking for a newer Mustang GT, he has a 2010. My friend with the Shelby just sold his today. This chapter in my car history may very well be over soon and on to the next.
So I will be selling the Mistress to a good friend of mine in the next couple of days so that he can have his dream Mustang and I can have some piece of mind for a few different reasons. One, I will have piece of mind that she's going to a good home where she will be taken care of and loved as much as I have loved her. Two, I can have some relief that I won't have that bill and all of what goes with it when I'm transitioning to retirement and starting a new career. Now I will have a little more cushion to travel some more around Europe before I put the family on a plane and get back to SC. This has been a great adventure and I wouldn't have changed any of it. I'm thankful for all the help with things in here and the positive feedback and comments from everyone who has taken the time to look at this build thread. So with this I say thank you.

^ That's sad and exciting at the same time Steve. I thought I read before that you were going to keep it. Something must have occurred to change that, then.
Either way, it's been fun. Stay online.

I got an offer I couldn't refuse because it is going to a great guy who is a Mustang enthusiast and a friend of mine. Plus I'm going to make a little money that I will put to good use. I will miss the car but at the same time I will have this glorious adventure blog if I need a fix. I will probably still be around in here from time to time chiming in.
You just might but not for a long while. I'm going back to Euro this time. I just like the way they drive right out of the box. There are just too many great M cars out there for me not to.
So today is a sad and happy day all at the same time. Today I drove the Mistress to her new home a little over an hour away. She's going to a fellow forum member who isn't very active in here but nonetheless she is in good hands. It was awesome to be able to take advantage of all the possibilities here in Germany with a car like that. I managed to cover 115 or so miles in a little more than an hour with road construction. I hit the speed limiter once and passed up a very nice Bentley Convertible who was just cruising and kindly moved out of my way as I downshifted to 5th and left him back there looking at the LED tails. It's been a great time and I've had some great adventures. So here it is kids, the final update on this chapter in Mustang history for my relationship with such an awesome car. Thanks to all the help over the last 3 years and the advice or words of encouragement. It has been a pleasure to be part of such a great enthusiast community here on TheMustangSource. I will leave you with a small parting token as soon as it uploads.
Cheers,
Steve
