I have seen 3 others. 1 was a Roush at Mustang week, one was in Vegas last April/May and one was a V6 here in the Keys.. Think it was a rental. 90% of the V6 Mustangs here are rentals.

Also curious to see the numbers. I was probably the first in Knoxville last year with LR. The dealer sent me to a Harley Davidson F150 to show me the color.
I haven't seen another LR on the road.

519 came with Lava Red Metallic exterior paint color.

Only 519 lava red Mustangs in total (minus ones that have been wrecked or repainted, like one on this forum that has been painted grey)!

 

How is this even possible?

Was there a total of 23,939 Mustang COUPES built ?? and only 19,917 were GTs?

 

Yeah, that's weird.. unless the Shelbys have the same body code, and since they have the 5.4, they wouldn't have that engine code..

I might order the build sheet; it's supposed to have detailed production info on it.

 

Thats 4022 GTs that didnt have the 5.0 engine. Boss maybe?


And the 519.. is that GT Coupes only. so there's more than that total with the V6's and Convertible GT's

 

What no Brembo totals ?

 

BOSS models, Shelby models, and of course convertibles make up the total number or at least im very sure they do

 

I'd like to see a more detailed breakdown on the 519 Lava Red number.

How many were manual/auto?
How may Brembo cars?

Any way of getting this info?

Using these numbers I calculated based off of percentages that there are approx 99 Lava Red Brembo cars. If we had more detailed numbers as far as Rapid Spec groups we could break it down further.

 

The only Lava red Mustang I have seen besides mine are posted in pic's. I guess not to many made it to south Fl.

 

If the 605 number is correct that would break down to 12 cars per state average, so figure Canada for a few and that number per state is lower.

 

I have a Lava Red Brembo GT 400a model. Would be great to know that there are that few of us.

 

I don't think I've actually ever seen this color except in pictures on the Internet. Much like my glass roof. I'm betting somebody with both a Lava Red car(mine's race red) and a Glass Roof has a very, very rare car.

 

That's me! From a financial standpoint though, it would take many years to see any potential benefit - meaning, my daughters would be the ones to benefit. However, I get the pleasure of driving it and loving it.

Of all the upgrades, the glass roof is easily my favorite.

I really like the stone interior - does it show dirt much, and if so, what do you use for cleaning? I'm not a fan of stripes, but the stone interior works well with your lower stripe.

 

I ordered a lava red GT last year the next day The dealer called and said it was discontinued so I ended up with Grabber blue.
I was at Ford nationals in Carlisle PA and out of hundreds of mustangs
I didn't see one Lava red, I did however see several Gotta have it green cars they really don't look bad in person there is a gold tint in the green,
the pictures don't do it justice
