I will definitely be interested to see the numbers. I've seen three other Lava Red cars on dealer lots but they were all purchased and I've never seen another one on the road.

I remember being next to a new 5.0 during the week the Security Drills were going on. when it took 2 hours to go 1 mile.. lol

Hell it might not have been then but I do remember traffic being a *****.

I've seen a few Sunset Golds. I've only seen one other Lava on the road.

I will guess I got the right person at 800-392-3673 (after being transferred a couple times).
Glad you were able to get the stats.

Thanks for the info on Lava Red production. The last 6 digits of my sticker number are 224768; Lava Red metallic V6 Premium coupe with Rapid spec 202A Pony Package with silver tape stripe, automatic, HID security package with the HID headlamps, stone leather interior, comfort package and 3.31 to 1 ratio rear axle. My 'stang has a production date of 18 May 2011. It would be interesting to get a further breakdown of factory installed optional equipment on the lava reds to get a real feel for the rarity of this discontinued color.

I would aswell.
Would also like to see any info available in regards to the sequence numbers and last build date. Mine was assembled Fri June 17th and may be one of the last cars built in this color.

Lava Red numbers

The last five of the vin on my Lava Red GT 22158. I got mine in May. No stripes or spoilers. I do have Brembos. It would be great if the numbers could be broken down further since with only 605 cars made ours will hopefully have some kind of collector's value in about twenty years. I'll never sell mine though!

Lava Red interior, reverse sensors, comfort pkg.
I'm still planning mods. I may end up swapping to the 2013 rear end if it isn't too much trouble.

I would like to know how many lava reds there are.
I got mine in July, a gt premium 400a int package with lava red interior, comfort pckg, reverse sensing ,accessory pckg 5, and track pak with 3:73 and brembo brakes.
Only has 1500 on the odometer and have already changed to the redlined MTL, installed mgw shifter and magnaflow cat back system and tinted the glass.
I love the car, the color is awesome. I'm so glad I went with the lavar red.

I would be very curious too on how many V6's were produced as well. I have only seen one other Lava Red in the Chicago Area.

Mine is a V6 Pony Coupe. I have changed the rear spoiler to a California Special and added the Mayhem intake cover and strut tower brace.

I picked mine up on July 1. It was built on March 22

I tried ordering a convertible in Lava Red but did not make the balance out. It took a while to locate any Lava Red cars that were within 1500 miles that not demos and dealers wanted to sell.

I tell you there are no regrets with this car.. everyone thinks it's such a great color.

She is put away for the winter, but can not wait to get her back out in the spring.

My Lava Red V6 pony coupe is located in Milwaukee, Wi. I've had it since June and since then have seen only one other Lava Red coupe in this area and that was a GT dealer driven. Mine is also put to bed for the winter. I found a grid called 2011 Mustang Take Rate Report at mustangsdaily.com which provided very detailed production numbers on the 2011's. I suspect that this will also be the case when 2012 production is finished.

I have never seen another lava red car on the road. I saw a couple on lots before I ordered my own.

I really do love the color but really wish that you could see the red a bit more when overcast.

Can't wait to see the numbers!

I have seen Lava V6s on the road, but never another Lava gt. I have seen people with Lava GTs here, but I cannot remember ever seeing another Lava GT with Lava Seats and the Electronics package though. Nice color.

No news yet on final numbers?

New to forum

New Lava Red guy here, 200277 built in Feb. GT Convertible, 5.0, manual, electronics, security, HID, comfort, brembo, pkg 6 and GT500 exhaust.

Best color in my opinion, gets alot of attention when the sun shines, still looks black in the shade.

I too would like to see final production numbers.
