Title says it all. I just came across a YB Boss to be built next week. I am looking for other cars to make sure it isn't a fluke.

 

That's cool, if true. My CO Boss is scheduled to be built 12/12/11.

 

Wait a minute.......how can ford discontinue YB and have people ordering a car and make them pick another color and before that car comes in, YB is back. So are you saying it's only back for 2012 or also 2013. Something smells wrong. I need proof that YB is back.

 

Thought YB was balanced out and last ones were built in August.

 

They were. This is why I am looking to find at least one more car.

 

So whatever happened to KB being replaced by SB? I know it never happened but I'm curious what the final story was.

 

The last I heard ford consolidated all of the KB paint for use on Mustangs. This gave them enough to keep building until December. At that point they scraped the idea of bringing Sonic back. However, if YB is back, then the ingredients to make Kona are probably available again too.

 

I thought they cancelled YB because of QC issues?

 

They did switch Kona for Sonic on other cars. I know the Focus now comes in Sonic.

Possible, but it does not appear that way.

B.t.w. someone here pointed me to a window sticker for a 2012 LS. It originally said Black, but now the color is listed as School Bus Yellow. I'm filing that one for the 2013 prototypes.

 

Just to follow up on this, it was a glitch in the system. The window sticker was later corrected.

 

So does the 251 count still stand for YB or is it back to 250

 

251 regular production Yellow / Black
1 regular production Yellow / White

I found one extra YB that I hadn't documented.

 

Ford dealer today told me YB is not available on mustangs BUT it is available on Focus and Fiesta...
