What options would you like for the new Boss 302?
I think the Boss should come stripped down, just as announced. The reality of having a lot of options is that the dealers will order the cars loaded up, and that defeats the purpose of the Boss. The only way you'll be able to get a base model will be to order it. Having said that, my preferences for options would be:
1) Stripe delete
2) Roof and hood color delete (separate from stripe delete)
3) Rear strut brace
4) Rear seat delete
5) HID headlamps
6) Security system
7) Silver color option for wheels

Hopefully security system will be standard but who knows.
3 and 4 should be a combined package with the recaros and torsen lsd.

+2 Those of you that want Nav, electronics etc. go buy a GT. The Boss is race car, not a luxury cruiser. My biggest request is to offer black on the standard Boss 302 model and at least offer a stripe delete option. The color combinations Ford selected are hideous.

I personally like:
CO/Blk
Red/White
White/Blk (yet to be seen)
IMHO the performance of the Boss is what should be true to the original - and the 2012 Boss 302 delivers there hands down. So why are we limiting ourselves to the color pallet from 1969? Give buyers some options, that's all I'm asking for. Clearly, there should be some heritage options available for those who choose that path but for the rest of us, don't force us to fit the "retro" only mold.

I completely agree and wish they would have offered GB and BLK as colors but sadly they didn't. Hell for that matter GO should have made a return. However we do not know what 2013 will bring. For all we know they will continue the Boss.
I would love to have a numbered plaque kinda like the GT500s had.

I suspect that the rear seat X-brace could be made to fit behind the convertible version of the back seat, with only minor trimming to the backside of the seat itself. Unfortunately, I believe the seat is a little bit narrower than the coupe version. This would necessitate some sort of filler material along the sides for a clean look. The convertible seat back is quite light, only a few lbs.
It's a street car. $5 says it's going to have a radio in it. So who cares if it's the EP or the Shaker? You want HID headlamps, a security system and silver wheels, all not necessary for a race car either.
It's my money, the thread title is "What options would you like for the new Boss 302?"
