Any chance Ford is doing a Mach 1?
I'm asking because the Boss seems to be made with the track in mind and perhaps a Mach 1 would be produced with the street in mind-more torque and lower rpm power.

 

I would love one. I really wish they would have done this instead of another GT/CS. The body style compliments the 69-70 Mach 1 perfectly. The GT/CS stripes are a direct influence of the Mach 1. The Mach 1 stripes would just need to go all the way to the rear of the car. With the introduction of the Boss the identical hood cowl graphic would be used with a Shaker hood scoop popping out. Obviously with the lower front fascia and a unique interior would be a must and non blocked off fogs. Kind of like a Boss with leather seats. If they could take the GT/CS rear spoiler and cut in in half that would look good as well. The 05-09 introduced new spoilers mid cycle so it could happen nere too.

 

I hear ya. I am a big fan of the SN95 Mach 1's as well as the originals. A Mach would complement the Boss perfectly as a drag strip destroyer and great street bruiser.

Maybe Ford would add one in 2013. Please,please,please. Thank You Ford.

I theorize we would not see a Mach 1 (assuming a successful run of the Boss) until the next Mustang update. At the Woodward Dream Cruise, someone who attended a track event for a local club mentioned that Ford people he talked to suggested the Boss would run for 2 years (MY 2012 and 2013). That leaves one model year before the next one is rumored to be available.

 

I'm trying to hold out for the Next Gen, its getting kinda hard, especially with this new Boss 302. But, if they make a Mach 1, the correct way, I think I will have to give in and buy one.

If they do, I'd figure not for another year -- keep things perking for 2012. Probably would be a 5.0-based variant, but a hotted up 6.2 (out of the Raptor) would really nail the Mach I spirit on the head.

IMO, the chances of a Mach 1 SE returning would probably be with the 2014 + version. Thinking the Boss 302 will be the send-off SE for the current iteration of the S197 chassis.

when i was looking for a name for coming into this forum ,i thought about this because i wanted a simple name. i did not had the chance of drinking in those bottles, but i'd seen some since my father&uncles were drinking this beer along with O'KEEFE. i don't even know if it's still exist. anyway i'm maybe one of the very few who drinks molson canadian here in quebec...lol .labatt blue is more popular.. & bud,molson ex ..
