I took my car out Sunday for a spirited drive and found out that they just repainted the lines on the road minutes before I arrived. I have yellow paint in my fenderwells, my rims, splashguards, spoilers, etc. I'm still working on "restoring" my car, BTW, my car is SBY, and it's a near perfect match.

(For those too young to remember, John DeLorean worked for GMC and designed the GTO, Firebird, and Grand Prix. He started his own company which made the DMC12. DeLorean was indicted in 1982 for drug trafficking, supposedly it was an attempt to raise funds to save his automobile company. He was acquitted of the charges)

I dont know what it added as I dont have a stock run on the dyno.
it made 404/355 sae
gt with lt off road x c&L CAI/ magnaflow cat back made 406 on the same dyno same day right after I ran mine.
but I am getting a lot "thats it" or mine made that stock.....even though the owner of the shop said it reads lower than mustang dynos and you can't compare x car on x dyno to y car on y dyno
So I am going to return the car to stock and put it back on the dyno...then swap CAI and run the 93 octane tune and see what that gain is. the procedure to swap to E85 isnt a short one so I wont be able to get same day pulls.

Put some new tires on mine to get the Corsa's off for the time being. Went with the Hankook V12's, partly because of price, partly because that's what my dealer could get (no luck with getting the BFGoodrich). I guess I'll report back what they're like if I find myself in the rain with them or something.
Fun fact: You can fit 4 stock tires in a Laguna Seca. Humorously, only one fit in the trunk. Just make sure you have something to put down and/or wrap the tires in so you don't mess up your interior.

Spent last weekend at Daytona running on the 24 Hour Course.
Need to go faster throught the infield next year..............consistent 2:16's with one 2:14.
Best lap during the BMW 200 Continental Tire Challenge Race for the race winner Roush/Johnson was a 1:57 so I've got a long was to go![](http://bossmustangsonline.com/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Here's two laps..........
Did see 157 MPH at the start / finish line on second lap in the video

Awesome vids of the Daytona laps. Looks like a blast.
Last weekend I drove the Boss to the Enchanted Rock state natural area and then into Austin for the weekend. A great drive through Texas hill country.
It's the furthest I've driven the car so far (about 500 miles round trip). Averaged almost 22mpg on the way home even with some spirited downshift/romps along the way.
I did get a ticket on the way down, but it was only 83 in a 70, could have been a lot worse...
Best part of the trip was the valets gathering around the Boss when we checked in/left the hotel.

Try these numbers:
275.7 miles traveled around Daytona; 46.7 gallons of gas used equals 5.9 MPG!
And think about the duability of our engines...
From 5.0 Magazine.....
Mike said. "But we literally hadn't run any durability testing at all on a dyno whatsoever. They [Ford Racing] got the first full prototype built, before even the vehicle team did. [It takes] you know, really good engineers in the company to put something like that together and go racing for an entire season and not have a failure. Be right the first time....That was really cool to actually race them before we actually did any of the development work."
As Mike put it, "It was fantastic, and a real confidence builder, too. And we were able to take the data from the Daytona race, then put that in our dynamic cell in the dyno building and run that simulation on the dyno, transiently."
Besides running the exact racing profile on the dyno in real time, the RoadRunner team subtracted all the idling and other low-load portions of the race experience, to "shorten it down to the stuff that's going to do damage to it," as Mike put it. This allowed accelerated wear testing, the equivalent of 275 Grand Am or 150 Daytona 500 races, without a failure.
"No race team would ever go that long without rebuilding it," Mike said. "So no customer is ever going to be able to break it from a fatigue standpoint, unless they start doing things like raising the rev limiter to 9,000 rpm or something silly."
So with 5 track weekends on the Boss I've about 270 to go......
Thanks Ford!
