Those mudslides are scary. Being buried alive. What I find amazing is the size of the boulders that it carried . My heart goes out to those people that are affected by this. Some areas may not even be able to be rebuilt.
Our lives can change at the blink of an eye without any warning.
Ok so since I got married I've neglected Miss Scarlett. She's currently sitting in the garage all dirty and needing an oil change. I hooked up my trickle battery charger to her and checked for mouse business. Didn't notice any mouse activity so far and placed dryer sheets everywhere on her. That might be all I get done till spring time. I don't want to place my car cover on her since she is still dirty. I might try a California Car duster clean and then cover her.
I was kind of energetic this week and installed Redline Tuning hood struts, and a fuse, battery, and master cylinder cover. I also changed the transmission fluid with Royal Purple (we will see how that goes) and adjusted the MGW shifter. It just didn't work right in 1st and 2nd gear. It felt like it was catching and hard to shift. When I didn't pull the shifter towards me as much it worked better. I came across a video on MGW's site which showed how to adjust the small pin on the side of the shifter. Sure enough it helped. Who ever installed the shifter didn't bother adjusting it. I haven't been willing to drive it since (stupid rain) so I am not sure how much the shifting has improved.
I was looking around for some strut bolt covers in black but cannot seem to find any. I just want something to cover the bolt threads not the entire strut so if anyone has ordered some please let me know where you found them. Also trying to find out if the Roush 421127 axle backs are the correct ones for my 2013 Boss. If anyone has installed them please let me know what model number they are and if they fit correctly. No success so far contacting Roush.
Thanks!
Jon
I got her all polished up for the season. Hopefully the rain will slow down. Anyone have any idea on how to clean a cone scuff off of the decal?
Thanks,
Jon

Looking great! Can't wait to clean mine up as well.
Jon- nice pix! i gather from the lower foglights your RR '13 was originally Canadian? what is the engine plate #? re the cone scuff; maybe contacting a local premium car detailer or bodywrap shop will yield proper advice (it's my understanding the livery is 3M brand).

Wow, how did you know? It is number 1277. When I first saw the car fax and it was registered in Canada I was a little concerned that the speedometer was in kilos but it is not. I guess it was built in the US and imported to Canada. I tried autocross last weekend and a stupid cone scuffed the lower stripe by the front wheel. Not bad and very hard to see but I know it's there.

My daughter took some videos of Miss Scarlett today. I asked her why and she replied that she has a literature project due. She apparently wrote a poem about MS but must present the poem in the form of a video. So I'll be looking forward to see what she came up with.
Drove Miss Scarlett to youth group last night with my daughter. On the way there these two boys around 8-10 years old looked up and the one boy yelled..."Now there's my car!". My daughter started laughing.
Went out for some ice cream tonight. I stop at the bank to get some cash and someone pulls up beside me. He goes nice car I just picked up a '12 Boss in Kona blue. He then says you look familiar and I replied yeah your my mechanic. He laughed yeah now I remember you. He asked me ow long have I had mine I said since new in 2012. He had no idea I only let him work on my DD's.
Installed factory navigation and dual zone climate control. A huge PITA to get all the parts in ‘near-new’ condition but so worth it. To my knowledge, aside from the charity cars, I have the only Boss Laguna Seca with this setup. I will be doing a larger write-up in the Boss 302 forum. In the interim, a thousand thanks to Jim and Alex!
Finishing touches Need to update the map (2014 unit), but you can see from the VIN pulled from my CAN bus that it is working in my Boss LS

Awesome!!! One day I'll go the opposite route and put Boss dash panels + GT500 door panels in my car to get rid of all the chrome trim. I'm still thinking I'll eventually get cloth skins for the Recaros. I've never really liked the leather. But I really always wanted to do canvas skins, think military uniform grade, olive drab green.
