LQQK no offense taken. I was originally going to swap out the Boss rims with the LS but I've cooled on that idea. I've only seen the black and silver LS cars in person so I have not seen the Boss wheels. A couple of weeks ago I was at my local Porsche dealer and they had a S2 with sport wheels and they are very similar to the Boss wheels and had the spokes painted black. To my surprise I really liked them. I think the black stripes are a much better match for the Boss wheels.

A quality paint shop will not have a problem matching the color and with modern clear coats won't have a problem with the painted roof aging the same as the rest of the car. If I decide to change the colors I'm expecting the cost to paint the roof to be in the $800 range. The decal switch to be about the same. If anyone has a better guess on the cost please speak up.

All of this is subject to change over the next four months while I wait for my Boss to arrive.

That is what is great about this site and the fun of forums. Everyone has an opinion of what they like, if we all drove the same color car that would be quite boring. I can not imagine having anything but a yellow Boss yet I am totally surprised by the lack of yellow in this poll. I thought white would be the rarest, so far I am way off.

All the talk about painting roofs has me intrigued. I doubt I will follow through but the idea sounds good and I think the (my) car would look better. You want the Boss to stand out but only to a point.

If it was screaming yellow it would be a lot more popular.

The poll doesn't ask about the stripe delete option. Anyone ordered their candy without sprinkles?

There is no such thing, all Bosses will have the Boss type stripes. The delete on the order form has something to do with deleting GT or any other type of factory stipes that are not Boss.

Interesting, maybe my salesman didn't know his Boss sheet. I was asked if I wanted gloss black, offset white, or stripe delete.

We went back and forth in Nov. with this at the dealer. If I remember correct (and sometimes I don't) when we put the order in there was something about stripe delete. We did not select that, it automatically came up anyway but then it said something about black Boss hood stripes. The DORA came back and said Boss hood stripe no. 2 under rapid spec 500A (Boss package) and 46D tape stripe delete.

I questioned this at the time and they called the rep who said don't worry, all Bosses have the same stripe kit and that is the only way they come. So I am guessing the 46D has to do with another package GT or V6.

As if the white blur going by won't attract enough attention

The numbers don't match. 65 votes on price and only 52 for color. Looks like some people haven't voted. ????

Anybody thinking about widening the hood stripe to match the '70 car? Like they are doing on the Patriot Edition.

I like the look of the Patroit Edition hood black out treatment, but I would also change the roof to body color & black out the rear deck lid on mine.

That is a tough call. I think the cars would look way better with the original type flat black and the roof the same color as the car. However the hood even though it does not conform with the 69 looks OK given the different shape. I am thinking of black deck lid top and maybe painting the roof yellow. I will know better when the car is here.

Billet Grille w/ running horse

I was playing with PS today to see what the Boss would look like with the CS Billet Grille. I tinted the windows and added a side scoop just for fun. So how many people plan on changing there Boss and how many plan on keeping them stock or only adding LS parts?

I might change wheels and possibly the color of stripes and paint my roof. Just say no to side scoops, they won't help cooling of the rear brakes and add drag at speed. Speed on a track is what this car is all about.

BTW I like the grill change although I probably won't change mine.
