That is really bad news (for me) my blend is 1659, this may be ahead of mind, then I don't have the first YB

Another Boss Delivery

New member here. Just picked my Kona Blue Boss today (both options). Unfortunately lots of thunderstorms (with hail) so not much driving and no pix yet.

Ordered 3/14
VIN 4/16
Built 5/18
Shipped 6/8
Delivered to dealer 6/9 by truck (I'm only about 3 1/2 hours from Flat Rock)
Picked up 6/10

First impressions based on limited driving - OMG, I haven't had this much fun driving a car since racing a B production 327 Corvette in SCCA many, many years ago. The power delivery, the handling, braking...what an incredibly balanced car. It seemed like a long wait but I know many others are waiting even longer. So I'll just echo what others have said.....those memories will fade once you get your car.

Tomorrow I'm going to get up early, watch the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans at 8:30AM on Speed Channel and then get some breakfast....some where far away!

Oh yeh, almost forgot #772.

I picked up mine in Irving, TX Thursday night, 6/9. I think the build number is 738. Should know this exactly except I left on vacation (without the car, WAAAAH) 12 hours later. Build date on the VIN is 5/11/11, it left Flat Rock by rail on 5/30 and arrived at dealer 6/9/11. I'll post exact details when I get home week after next.

I saw 0607 at a car show in Calhoun, GA today. It's race red with black stripes. Standard seats. Not sure about the cover. I understand it was purchased at a dealer in GA.

Current Ebay bid is $200. It has the Recaro seats, must be worth at least $2100. Could be $2450 if he has the car cover. Hope he didnt pay too hig an ADM

That VIN can not be correct for that number IMO. I have 350 listed from a local Cr-aigslist (I think) and found a vin number from a local dealer at the same time. I will leave it in red for now.

I have recieved several PM's about people seeing car number xxxx but without the last 5 of the VIN there is nothing I can do with it. Thanks for trying to help but I can not post them with just a build number.

Just picked up #733 Race Red. Put 500+ miles on the way home up the coast of California! Experienced it all. 4 hours of stop and go through LA, what a treat(ment). A dozen times up over 100. NO TICKETS! Trans shifts smooth as silk. No issues except the skip shift which will get disabled asap. Too quiet. Nice ride. Ridiculous in many ways!

Very nice Andy, njoy it I will add you the list of happy owners.

Another question I get from time to time is people asking if we can tell a build number by the VIN you just got assigned. That is next to impossible to do. Chris and I have done some guessing on the early build car, that was easier but still not accurate. The VIN will have little to do with build number, we can say a car with a 22,000 VIN will not be car 15 but that is about it. I am no expert on this, just tracking the numbers I find and numbers that get reported.

In a perfect world the number of the car should be the exact order in which it rolled down the line. However things are not always perfect and I have seen cars with build numbers that do not match the build date, car 29 for example. It may have something to do with a quality hold at the factory for a loose lug nut, a test drive on the track or someone parking the cars out of order in front of VPC, your guess is as good as mine.

The only way to tell the build number will be to pop the hood and see it.
