Transmissions Being Replaced
However, I really doubt this is how/why the gearboxes are failing.
I was very disappointed in the gearbox at near-zero miles, but it is getting better and better. I do miss on the 2nd to 3rd shift, but that is operator error.
Oh, btw, I realize that many items are made in China, but the domain name China-Gearbox.com does not give me the warm fuzzies. Sorry.

Just a follow up as I began this thread. I believe as I've looked and listened more that the info I got was part true.
I think there was a bad batch of transmissions, some cars got out of the factory before it was realized and some were held there on a material delay.
Those that got out were replaced in the field with the same model of transmission. I think the individual I spoke with embelished with what they were replaced with.

I was at an event at Sears Poin......err...Infineon raceway today and someone there had a Boss Laguna Seca and had the TracKey. That car looks awesome! However the red wheels are a bit much, imho.
Hopefully it is just a bad batch of transmissons and the issues have been fixed for good.

Huh? Unless there's been some drastic change in design, all the "hydraulic" parts of a clutch are pretty much stationary. They move in and out to actuate, but do not rotate and have no revolutions per minute. The leading edge of the throwout bearing turns but it's a bearing. Maybe you were thinking a hydraulic pump was involved. In this case I believe the pump is your left leg!
This makes sense to me.....in any case I hope the shifting all gets figured out. I find myself wanting a Boss more and more...
