now maybe without looking at the FRPP site the rears could be different between the 302R1 and the rest...most team probably change the rear gearing according to the track they are running

Have you seen all the posts on this issues with the MT82 transmission on the 5.0 forums? Sounds like it could be a clutch or pressure plate issue. However, it DOESN'T sound like it's been completely diagnosed. I just hope they solve it before production begins on our cars. If it's a clutch issue, we MIGHT not have the problem since the Boss clutch is different.
We had plenty of issues on the early GT500. Ford initially determined it was lack of lubrication on the input shaft during production. However, they did revise both the clutch and transmission somewhere in the 08 model year and possibly again in 09. I have two new clutches and a transmission in my GT500.
Some of the issues sound like unfamiliarity with ceramic? "racing" clutches. I think some people expect them to launch like a Honda Civic, but there are clearly some issues that appear to be transmission or clutch related.
