TRANS, CLUTCH, TORSEN
Can't say enough about how good Dave Pericak and his team did putting this car together. Best clutch feel of any car I've ever driven; no Rambo leg needed to depress the pedal, linear, smooth and precise. Torsen Dif Bites the pavement and propels. My '70 Mach 1 was a bear to drive in slow, heavy traffic; pedal force was so great the factory rod broke and I replaced it with stainless All-Thread rod that lasted for years. Congrats to the Mustang team for creating a new classic! BTW, the discs are out and will stay that way. Wonderful music.

I haven't driven a Boss yet but I did sit in the Black LS at a car show back in January. It's the LS that PJ signed at the August 2010 intro. That was one of the heaviest clutches I've ever depressed. There was a new Z06 sitting next to it and it's clutch was like butter. I suspect that car had quite a few hard miles on it and of course it was not a production vehicle. I've depressed the clutch in a couple of showroom Boss cars and they have a light feel. The Torsen seems to be one of the magic ingredients allowing the Boss to put all of it's power to the ground.

Why does Ford make the clutch throw so long. I put in a clutch height adjustment in my SN95 and lowered the clutch significantly. the release and engagement point were very quick and you did not have to push the pedal 12 inches before disengagement. That was one of the first thing my 19 year old son noticed when he drove the Boss and asked if we could change the Boss Clutch too?
