I've got a copy of the original window sticker, I just need to get it into a jpeg format to post it. I'll work on that in the morning.

What has been modified?

 

Most of the date like dates and blend were pulled and it says "Damaged Unit" by the final price.

Sorry for the loss but this is very interesting. I assume Ford will have to make up the units since each dealer is suppose to get X number of cars. Now the real build number will have to be 4005 units or something like that.

 

So here's 'the end of the story'. He's heard nothing since the original phone call from Planet Ford, so he's decided to move on. He's eligible for X-plan due to stock ownership, so he gets a certificate. It clearly says Boss 302's are not covered, but nothing about Shelby's. After some phone calls, he gets a return from Indiana that they have a silver / black stripe GT500 and are willing to deal. All the paperwork goes to the credit union, everything is approved, and at 2:27 PM he calls in a $500 deposit on his credit card and will be flying out next week to pick up the car.

5:02 PM, same day. He gets a call from Planet Ford that they have a Black LS in the store (it has been ordered by someone else) and the general manager has decided my brother get's first choice. They still want 5 over. He is pretty much locked in on the GT500, so he passes on the LS.

He has better luck than I do, so you understand why we don't gamble.
