All I can do is laugh at this point. Apparently the IDS tools the dealers use to download and install calibrations can't download TracKey. Ford doesn't know why it is having this communication issue and have no ETA as to when it will be resolved.

Glad you can see the humor and smile. You would think they would have tested this before they tried to start using it for customers' cars.
But I guess Ford was afraid to let it out before it was all legal in the event of some bootleg TK loads.

This looks so amateurish on Ford's part.

Eh, having done enough after-market stuff on these cars, you come to expect some hiccups. Actually it turns out they are able to download the tune onto their IDS tool, it just won't communicate with the Boss' PCM. I talked directly to the tech and he just got off the phone with them with another update. They've isolated the problem and he was hopefull the fix will be in as early as tomorrow.

That said I'm all for blaming 11ShelbyGT500 Maybe there's going to be enough material here for a Hitler video sequel.

Ask the tech if someone from UPS delivered the IDS tool.

I think he may have run it over before delivering it.

**Update** Just got a call from the dealer and they are downloading a new update to their software. They asked me to drop the car and they're hoping they'll be able to flash it in the morning. We need a little more drama don't we?

Bummer... gonna give a courtesy call to my folks and see if they're getting the same errors. Hopefully we aren't charged more than the single hour of labor.

And yes, I'm taking notes for a Hitler sequel...

What's all the fuss about?

TracKey is alive and well in my BOSS 302. Dealer sent me a photo as well. Furius' white Boss was scheduled for TracKey installation today, but I'll let John confirm that his is active as well.

The Service Techs at The Ford Store Morgan Hill rock !
