Spend a day in Downtown Manilla, Philippines & you'll beg to come back to a place like he US that has emissions controls. Motorcyclists wear surgical masks to help keep the large particles out of their lungs.
From last April:
Why the TracKey idle won't make it out as is.
In this new video the TracKey idle is shown, the comment that caught my attention is: "It smells different..."
That tells me as that as is, the idle part of the tune likely won't pass CARB.
The comment comes at the 3:00 mark in the clip.

Chris, you're right there was no way the original lopey was going to pass CARB or any other emissions test and I bet Ford never submitted it for approval.
What about the pollution that people caused earning 847 million dollars driving back and forth to work a year to support CARB in CA.
Then there was the post here about if you get pulled over in CA you have to show the police the sticker on you car. "Show me your papers" hum, where have we heard that before. Yes it does seem that the only people with rights in CA are those that are breaking the law being here illegally. It is nice to breath clean air but I would rather live in a place where I still have my rights.
Fact is I can stand on the side of 95 here in FL and breath easy without even a state inspection in place. One of the reason is that we are not over taxed when buying new cars so most cars on the road are newer in the US. I lived in a place that has a 85% tax on all new cars in the country plus a high yearly tax. Indeed you would choke standing next to a one lane road with all the old beat up 30 year old cars going by. So simple things work not over-grown repressive organizations like CA has created.
I do understand that geography has a lot to do with CA's problems.

CARB removed the lopey idle and replaced it with b******t.

In fact, it is scientifically impossible for CO2 to cause one single person anywhere on earth a single health issue... at any time EVER. It's in your lungs and bloodstream as you read this.
Additionally, CO2 doesn't pollute the air or harm furry creatures and plants in any way whatsoever. Contrary to the contrived myth, it does not harm the environment.
Even if it did all of these horrible things - as the control freaks (like Goldman Sachs and Chinese lobbyists) wish us to believe - and the entire United States of America completely discontinued expelling a single ounce of CO2, the net effect on the amount of CO2 in the earth's atmosphere would be something near the 1000ths of 1 percent. California's share is a fraction of that.
Math is a real science.
I don't think anyone is disputing that we should have emmisions and pollution standards. What's being disputed is regulatory idiocy from overreaching bureaucracies that have been co-opted by political operatives, junk "scientists," corporate donors and various other interested parties.
Dude, get off your favorite conspiracy rant and know that I was talking about carbon from non-emissions cars and diesel buses. It's so heavy when you drive behind an old bus in the Philippines that you can't even see the road. It feels like you're being sandblasted when you drive behind one. That is the reason for the masks

I dont think the "exhaust" that you see is CO2. CO2 is a gas, it is not visible, if it was we would see our breath when we exhale (excluding the cold day effect). I beleve the smoke coming out of exhaust is soot.
Are you sure that isn't a mtn biking face guard? (look at the handlebars)

If the entire state of Kalifornia walked everywhere and gave up the internal combustion engine then how would it err make any difference when there are countries like the Phillipines doing things like this. All we can hope to do is take care of our local air quality while these other places spew their emissions.
That's my biggest problem with Kyoto and CARB. We kill our economy and go back to the stone age while the third world carries on as usual and gets wealth transferred from us to them. Yay!
And in the end a volcano erupts in the Pacific and spews forth more than all the cars on earth combined.
We are so full of ourselves.

Probably take you or me to jail for using one on our own property though.
