My level of the Trackey has dropped . I am still going to get it but i know that my local dealer will have trouble with loading it. The video that Ford put up that shows the lopy idle is what we were all expecting and so far it doesn't seem that way. Yes i know this is a track car and i will definitely will be tracking it very soon, but come on it would have sounded cool especially since my Boss is DD.
Does anybody else think that Ford will just drop the whole Trackey for the 2013 model?

That would almost be funny if the reality was not a bunch of know-nothing public employees killing the last of the few American jobs and American inginuity
It is a real shame the way this turned out after so many decated guys put their blood, sweat and tears into this.
As Hilter once said there is always Jon Lund.

One of the advantages of living in the "common sense" Midwest. Unfortuantely it's colder than hell in the winter. In a couple weeks I'll wish man made global warming was real.
Us PA people have the worst of it all...a CARB/PZEV state, it's a commonwealth, crazy real estate taxes, insurance, floods, drought, and it goes from 100 degrees to snow in 30 days!

Given the changes and the new dash (rumored) for 2013 this won't be possible. They'd have to make a completely new tune for 2012 based on any changes for 2013. Further, it's unlikely they're changing anything at all in the tune for 2013 as they'd have to resubmit it to CARB.

Even with NO CHANGES in the tune for 2013 Ford still has to go through CARB again. Toyota and TRD had to do this every year for their superchargers for the TC and Corolla...my customer had to wait 9 months or more for the kit if they bought at the beginning of the model year

Whatever engine changes are in the 2013 tune may be put in the 2012 tune. It won't be the same bits and bytes, but the effect will be the same. e.g. Let's say the 2013 tune adds the xyz parameter not found in the current 2012 tune. It might be possible to upgrade the 2012 tune with xyz parameter, and then download it. But then there's CARB ... any change to a tune may mean the entire tune gets retested?
Well cars put away for the winter and I was going to do the TK next spring but I'm not sure if I want to drop the coin now. I'll keep an eye out for the reviews from those in warmer climates over the next 6 months and decide from there.
